Please don't tell me that this aspect ratio is the new standard...I can't really see the point of such width.

Although..... 2560x2160 (portrait; as said in another thread recently) would be really nice...... but for the price of two of these abominations, I think there are better alternatives.....

3x Catleep, any one???

I want one of this but with a size of AT LEAST 32-34" and a vertical res of 1200p or even 1440p. This 29" crap has a vertical size equal with a 23" 16:9 monitor, but if I will ever buy on of those I want to be at least as tall as a 27 incher!! Common, is not that hard to build one!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree. But the thing is those 29 inchers are too damn small (vertically) for my taste. I would prefer 1 of this but with the same vertical size as a 27 incher///

You realise that this monitor is aimed at people who need more horizontal space than vertical right? Also, if you wait a bit longer they will make a bigger version, probably with the same resolution.

Wow that's a really wide screen! Gives a whole new meaning to "widescreen monitor". Personally I would like to have this. It's great for work and multitasking. Better than two screens because now there's no bar in the middle.

No! Really? No bar! Holy cow!

Feeding Google: LG needs to make this in a 32" version! And upping resolution at same time

they can't sell these monitors unless it's the common TV resolution!

Where are the 2560x1080 televisions?

It won't sell if it ain't FULL HD....and glossy!

Note the position of the ports. The monitor looks sleek with nothing connected, but once you connect even the power cable to it the look is ruined. I assume they were going for making it as thin as possible disregarding usability.
