Giveaway: RACE 07

Welcome to my first giveaway!

(Click on the images to watch the trailer video)

Rules/Requirements:
  • You must have a registration date, on the TPU forums, of October 2012 or earlier.
  • You must have at least 50 posts.
  • You must not own the game (not open to discussion).
  • You must have a Steam account (otherwise I can't send you the game).
  • The entries will be accepted for either of the packs, not both. Please specify which one you want.

How to enter:
To enter the contest, tell us what would your dream track-day be like. What car would you really want to drive and on which track.

Prizes:
The prizes are a pair of RACE 07 "Starter packs" I've put together.
  • RACE 07 + GT-Power Expansion (DLC)
  • RACE 07 + RETRO Expansion (DLC)

Prize draw:
The contest will close next Saturday, the 24th, at 1500hrs (UTC/GMT).
The winners will be picked at random and will have 48 hours to PM me to redeem their prize.
If a winning contestant doesn't PM me within 48 hours, another draw will be made to determine a new winner. This new winner will also have 48 hours to redeem his/her prize.

About the game:
This is my latest favorite game. It is a true-blooded simulator. You will be able to race in real-world racetracks, with real race-cars recreated with very high detail.
Needless to say that this game will favor those who own a steering wheel, but it is playable with a keyboard as well (after a few tweaks).
There are quite a few expansion packs, adding a lot of content to what already is a very well done simulator. Plus, you can also go to community web-sites and download mods, to add even more stuff. There is a free track you can download from Steam.

Last edited by _JP_; Nov 18, 2012 at 10:50 PM. Reason: Increased PM deadline time after winner is found. Decreased minimum post number. Added note.

My dream track would combine the mud swamps in Florida with the desert sands of Moab, Utah. Throw in some mountain trails from Colorado and two feet of snow from Wisconsin.
I want to drive my Jeep JK on this track.

Don't enter me in the contest, I just wanted to participate in the contest and give you a bump.

My dream track-day would include having in car instructions from Michael Schumacher and live commentary from Murray Walker. The day would end with a quiet meal where they would share the moments they feel held the most significance in their careers.

I would really like to drive on the Monza track and my car of choice would be a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

I would like the RACE 07 + RETRO Expansion (DLC), please.

My dream track-day would be racing classic cars... the winner being able to take home a selection of racing-girls. I would be highly motivated. Which car? Actually, I'd quite like to try some old classic alfas, and porsches. Race track? Quite open on that one... but I do like big circuits and hills and shortcuts.

Obviously, RACE 07 + RETRO Expansion (DLC)

As with Completely Bonkers, I would prefer the classic, or nostalgic vehicles as well. My dream race day and track would be racing side by side with some of the great NASCAR drivers. I am talking Bobby Allison, Buddy Baker, Junior Johnson, Richard Petty, and my all time favorite that I watched from childhood, Dale Earnhardt!!!

My dream would be the 2001 Daytona 500! Why you ask, well if I could have been there racing that day, maybe, just maybe The awful crash that took Dale Earnhardt's life may not have happened.

#3 Always a fan!!!

Would be in for RACE 07 + RETRO Expansion (DLC)

My dream track would be racing along the coast of the Welsh island of Anglesea, overlooking the ocean. As far as cars go I'm not terribly sure. Sorry.

I'd be interested in RACE 07 + GT-Power Expansion (DLC)

I think 24 hours is too short. People do go away at the weekends and do other stuff like outdoor activities away from their PC's and/or steam accounts. Can I ask for a change in rules to be more "human" in the deadlines? Give people at least 3 days! Or am I being unreasonable?

I may be speaking out of turn here, but I'll go ahead anyway. The only time that 24 hrs (or any deadline has been a problem) for me was when the winner was not a real "regular" to the forums. What I've always required, and it sounds like the OP is similar, is that the winner gets in contact within 24 hrs, a PM is good enough, to say, "I see it, thanks." That way you know that they know that they won and that all's well. Even if the winner can't get on Steam for another day or so, at least the giveaway can be finalized and closed out.

I've waited several days before for people, and it gets frustrating having to wait to hear from them, wondering if they know or not. 3 days seems quite excessive to me; 48hrs is the longest I'd go.

My dream track would be a track in the Rocky mountains (ie. BC/Alberta border)in a point to point course, driving a Lotus Elise OR an American Motors AMX3 I would be interested in Race 07 + retro expansion

AMC AMX3 (im a big AMC car buff, I <3 their cars):

AMX3 are almost impossible to find. AMC ordered 30, but only 6 were made. From Wiki "Five completed cars were produced before the US$2,000,000 program was cancelled. Escalating costs and pending bumper regulations put a stop to the mid-engined AMX/3. The remaining extra parts were used to assemble a sixth car" Link: https://www.google.ca/url?url=http:/...ed=0CDkQygQwBA
