Personnaly, I would recommand to unistall the old version 0.9 and after install de new version 0.96. But after the uninstallation of the old version, you will be invited to uninstall the Nvidia drivers and reinstall the nvidia drivers and after install the Hyper SLI driver 0.96.

1. uninstall the hyper SLI driver 0.9
2. uninstall the Nvidia drivers
3. New install the Nvidia drivers
4. install the Hyper SLI driver 0.96

By me, that was like this for a good work. Good luck

Hello,
I have tested to use the Hyper SLI with the UAC enabled; and I note that with the UAC enabed, the 3D Vision 2 kit don't work. But if I desable the UAC, the 3D Vision 2 kit work. I think that it is not necessary to uninstall the Lucid driver; but only disable it. Only the UAC must be disabled to use the 3D Vision 2 of Nvidia.

Hi Anatolymik !
For your information, if I enable again the UAC after the installation of the Hyper SLI, the SLI works perfectly, but not the 3D Vision 2 kit with the compatible games with 3D Vision 2. The picture is yes in 3D but the 3D kit glasses Nvidia don't works and we cannot correcty see so the 3D picture. Without UAC, the SLI and the 3D Vision 2 works. I have the Nvidia 306.97 WHQL and HyperSLI 0.96.

Just another question: Will there be a chance to get HyperSLI AND available VM? Background: I´m using Win7 64 Ultimate AND XP in VM (original MS) - but there´s no chance to get XP running within Win7 and aktivated HyperSLI ...

Thanx and keep on running with HyperSLI

Sukram.

sry I have to report what happened to me with this driver and windows 8 using two 580's. I installed the hyper driver over the beta windows 8 drivers followed the procedure. went to enabled SLI and got a blue screen. then I could not get into windows 8. I tried refreshing the installation using the install disc and it let me back in. then I tried installing the beta drivers over the whql windows basic driver and rebooted. windows still didn't run.

next I tried installing back to windows 7 to investigate the error. it seems the whql windows drivers would only run not the new or beta drivers. then with the whql drivers and windows running I went into device manager and one of my gpu's was registering non functional. so I switched out the second card for a spare 580 I had, it ran and worked then. I have not tried the hyper SLI driver since as I'm a bit scared to.

So I lost one of my three 580's from this. Just thought you should know so you can prevent this in the future. Great program though. I wish I had got it to run. Thanks

heere is my specs for troubleshooting:
Core i7 965 Extreme CPU
Sapphire Pure Black X58
EVGA GTX 580 SLI x2
Auzen X-Fi Bravura 7.1 Sound Card
Enermax Platinum Platimax 850W
Don't know if is important, but I have lots of case fans and case lighting running in my rig.

Hi,
I recently installed windows 8 Pro (Build 9200) and I was having problems with crashes at startup (at the boot logo). This is what happens: I shutdown the computer, the next boot would crash the computer. This was only happening if I shut down the computer properly, if I force it to shutdown or if I restart it wouldn't happen.
So after some time trying to fix this problem, I just gave up and did a clean installation. Everything was fine, right after I installed HyperSLI the same start happening. Crashes at the boot logo.
I don't really mind, I mean, I rather have SLI with this happening than not having SLI.
I really don't know if its my system or not. If someone having the same issue please post.

Also anatolymik & Team thanks for the effort you put into this and thanks for making everybody happy

No I do not. 88C is warm, but your GTX460's are rated to 105C...Try changing the fan profile in afterburner or EVGA Precision.

Your problem isn't related with HyperSLI, you have to disable faststartup on Windows 8.

If not, you will have that problem every time you do a shutdown on Windows 8. It messes with the s.m.a.r.t. tech.

You were right! I disabled fast startup and its cool now.
Thanks and sorry for blaming HyperSLI, but I didn't know that windows 8 feature.

1. Go into your Nvidia Control Panel and disable SLI.

2. Reboot into your normal Windows installation.
a. Press WindowsKey and R. This should open the Run menu.
b. Type msconfig and press OK.
c. Click on the "Boot" tab.
d. You should see "Windows # (*:\Windows)" and "Windows # x## HyperSLI (*:\Windows)". Click the normal one (the one without HyperSLI).
e. Press "Set as default" and press OK.
f. Reboot.

3. Download the latest HyperSLI patcher.

4. Run the HyperSLI patcher.

5. Select "Uninstall".

After that, it'll probably ask you to reboot. It might even ask you to reboot a second time.

Hi cdawall,
I have changed the fan setting in EVGA Precision X, now it is ok. The fan boost power up and the temperature lows at 70-72C in the games. the problem was only in the games. Thank you very much for your help. Best regards. Chris

Hello @ll,

just found this thread and have a question:

I´m just using a brand new EVGA GTX 660TI SC with 2 GB. Yesterday i´ve won a Gainward GTX 680 with 4 GB Ram.
Will these 2 cards work with HyperSLI?

Not a problem I had to do the same when I had stock cooled GTX470's.

Asus M5A97

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question... i just don't know too much about this. Would this work on a M5A97 mobo with a 9600 GT and another sli enabled card?

It will, but the second slot on that board is only a PCI-e 4x slot so you will not see very much performance increase. Better off getting a single faster card and selling the old 9600GT or using it as a dedicated PPU.

How can i use it as a dedicated PPU? Does SLI have to be enabled?

In games that support it physx is still only going to work so well considering the main card is a 9600GT as well.

So if i was to get something better like a 650 ti or a radeon 6850 could i still set the 9600 gt as a dedicated PPU and get a performance increase higher than the 650 ti or radeon 6850 by itself?

Yes the 6850 will take a little more work to get the 9600GT to work with, but the 650 Ti will be plug and play. The 9600GT will not take a performance hit as a PPU in the 4x slot.
