Belkin WiFi settings.

Hey every one. I have a Belkin WiFi adapter model#F7D4101 v1 Now I am not at all a programer nor do I posses the technical skills to get the most out of this thing like 99% of you are. My question is this. When I go to the device manager and click on the device it come up with this window. Pic posted there are more setting as you scroll down in that window and I can not figure out how to get the entire thing on here so you can see all the settings. now I know you all know more than me about this stuff so what should I set stuff at to maximize the speed and use of this device. I thank you for your help.

that's to make sure you don't get any conflicts when you switch between wired and wireless. Leave it enabled.

No no no... I meant all the settings not the one that is highlighted. I was just taking a screen shot of the settings to post but I can not get all them up. I did not change that one.

well to optimise it you would need to know what your router supports and recommends, and then use those settings.

Its just a standard 2.4Ghz 802.11n adapter, nothing really to tweak just use it. You could try tweaking the router channels and see which one gets you the best signal

The problem is the router is not mine it is the parks, Yeah typical white trailer trash here. I live in an RV park. But yeah It all works just though that there is some magic you all know that could get more out of it as the park I am in currently sucks the connection is just shit!

You have to take into account how many people are using it,I doubt the "park" management knows anything about technology so WMM or QoS isnt enabled.

Not much you can do, tricks, especially if the connection is being shared by others.

On a personal note, Tricks, stop belittling yourself for where you live. We all have to live somewhere and being in a trailer is far better than a lot of other options.
Yeah, the connection probably sucks, but at least you have a connection.
Just trying to keep you thinking positive.

Yeah I know we all have to live some were. Just coming from having 2 utterly sweet home to this kind makes me feel like this at times. I am good I embrace it and enjoy it too. I just wish I could get back up to Squim Wa. The park there gave us LAN! Supper fast connection no matter who was on it. I think it was like 2Mb. Now I get WiFi and today it has been brutal! Worse than ever and even 56k Dial up is saying you are so slow!
But I Thank You. I am feeling great for now. Another high in my manic little world. Trust me I am manic. I know you know hell this entire forum knows it. I have to just laugh at myself
Nothing more I can really do.

Yes, there is something you can do.
Stop wallowing in your problems and help people with their problems.
When I had half my guts chopped out from cancer I had every right to complain, but instead I chose to use the experience to better myself and help others in any way I could.
You're not manic, you're just keeping yourself in a rut by not accepting what you have and being thankful you have that.

Sorry for taking your thread off topic.

trickson if you're good at building things make a parabolic dish from aluminum foil/pan or even a coffee can works. you'll get more bars guaranteed. I have done this. you'll need a usb extender cable though.

YES, you'll get most out of it, if you can pinpoint the direction just right.
