CF Setup with MSI 6850 - what should I get?

Looking to upgrade graphics horsepower in a new IB build. Thinking best bang for the buck will be to get a second 6850 and go Crossfire.

I have an MSI 6850 (think the specs are here): http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R6850-PM2D1GD5.html

It looks like this:

What should I look for that would be compatible?

For the least amount of issue's you should look to get a 2nd identical card. Any other 6850 on the market, or even a 6870 will CF with that card, but different clock and memory sizes can make for a slightly quirkier operation.

^^^ this and if you need some feedback from members on running the 6850's in Crossfire I believe Mad Shot is still running them in one of his rigs and Chicken Patty may have run them as well

Personally i would just buy a new gpu like a 7850 or 7870/7950 or even that ''7890" wich is coming on the 27th.
How much is that second 6850? unless it's dirt cheap i dont see the point in making 6850 crossfire .

I am running a Visiontek and a XFX Double D 6850 in Cfire. It's worth is for sure. Also 6850's are pretty cheap and use like no power. I also have a rig with a 7850 in it and prefer the cfired 6850's over it.

For $100, I can add a second card and have performance near or above a 7870 which is well over and around $200.

Cool, now I have to find me a card... and a bridge. Wish I could find the same model. Looks like it's the OC model. Here's a screenshot from GPUz:

6850 is still a great option, but i think you should look for an used 6850, as the price of a brand new aren't that good.

Be aware of the Vram limitation of 1 GB.

I once had a msi 6850 cyclone power edition - it ran like shit off a shovel, and ive always wanted to run the old beast in crossfire to see how well it does, i can say i have only positive feedback for those cards, no matter what anyone says.
