Oh. My. God. THQ is desperate for cash.

All I can say is people need to buy it (and be reasonable on the amount ). If not because these games are great for an unbeatable price, do it because THQ is one of the last decent publishers and they need the money!

I didn't realize that THQ was so far in the red, I thought the upcoming CoH 2 would help them out. What a shame, the CoH series are some of the finest games ever made. Anyone who doesn't have them should get them for sure.

Games don't make money while in development and CoH2 isn't coming out until probably Spring of 2013.

Company of Heroes is about the only WW2 themed game ever I liked.

Hopefully people are putting all of their money to THQ when they buy this bundle.

American Red Cross and Child's Play are excellent charities though. You literally can't go wrong on this one. XD

Edit: I see one caveat: these games are Steam-keys ONLY. In other words, they aren't DRM-free like normal. A small price to pay for a major publisher to jump on the Humble Bundle train, I suppose.

I never give money to the charities, I always give it to the developers. I'll probably send some money their way even though I already own most of these...

Ah, I thought it was being released much sooner. I can't help but think the new CoH would be more popular if you didn't have to use all the crappy Russian weapons/vehicles. What, are half of your troops unarmed and you have to scavenge the dead? Do you deploy machine guns behind your own squads to make sure they charge forward

I haven't received the confirmation email either, and it's been quite a few minutes. When I bought it, it gave me the page link to the Steam keys, but I accidentally closed it, as I was on my phone. Now I need to wait...

ohhh I got my email pretty much 30 seconds after my paypal went through. Maybe they are getting server overload?

I saw a big delay with one of the last bundles as well so I think its normal. I did buy three of them, hopefully they don't flag my transactions.

I like the sound of that! As I already have these games, I won't be holding onto these for too long

If you already have games listed and redeem the code in Steam, you will not get additional keys or copies to send to other ppl on Steam. This is pretty much how Steam always handles duplicates- except in very rare promotional cases (Left 4 Dead 2 bundles allowed you to gift the extra copy of L4D1 and Portal 2 allowed you to gift Portal 1 (I believe)- for example).

The codes you receive after payment @ HumbleBundle.com can be given to anyone, just like with any other Humble Bundle.

If you don't already have steam, then you need it. I don't mind this kind of DRM.

...you're not supposed to. The keys they provide are strictly for whoever owns the Humble Bundle key. Rampant abuse will likely result in the end of the "beat the average" being available on Steam.

If you're buying it as a gift, you should market it as a gift at Humble Bundle.

Edit: They almost raised $1 million already. They are having very, very high volume on this sale.

Its hardly there business what you do with keys you fairly purchase. Especially if you wanted to give the keys to different people. They sell things for a nice price then some people may want to just pick up the bundle for 1 or 2 games and give away the rest of the keys.

Don't confuse generosity with abuse

I quote: "Steam will not provide extra giftable copies of games you already own. All keys are for your personal use only." Any Steam activation to an account other than who the HIB was purchased for is "abuse." The non-"abuse" route is to purchase many giftable HIB keys.

Seems you are stretching the limit there just a bit doesn't it

If you take those kinds of things to heart then people who give away or sell the codes for games/software that they get with other purchases are "abusing" as well.

Edit: It seems funny how they make a distinction when they are providing the same keys regardless of whether they are labeled as a gift or not. Food for thought about what really constitutes "abuse".

"Personal use only" is very, very specific.

Edit: If I already have a game(s) in the bundle do I have the ability to gift the extra copy in the bundle?

What you are promoting is effectively theft.
