Its cheaper to rent office space then it is to own it... owners have to maintain it, fix something when it breaks etc...

AMD will be fine, all the next gen consoles are AMD powered, the new chips are selling from what I understand. 8000 series GPUs around the corner....AMD will pull through its just a matter of time.

I do not think most of the forum followers get it. 2% of users are enthusiasts and very few build their own computer. This leaves the rest of the market to OEM builders, Apple and the server market. It then boils down to cost and performance. On Intel and AMD's side, it is about margin. So the 80% of people is just your theory which means nothing. On the server side, Intel owns AMD in performance and efficiency. It is pretty simple.

So true.
I work with people who don't care as long as they can get on the internet.
And with the rise of tablets and smart phones less and less people are using PC's.

Did AMD not build a factory or something in NY state? Or was it something else?

It's GlobalFoundries (Fab 8).

And next could be followed by TSMC : http://www.techpowerup.com/175987/TS...in-the-US.html

And of course you didn't notice that I played off your sarcasm with a sarcastic post of my own. Didn't think I'd need an emoticon to get that across.
