No a oem gtx 660, but it is a cut down gtx 660 ti. It has 1152 streaming processors 1.5gb of ram and a clock speed of 823/ boost it says of 888 but it goes way over 1000 under load. A normal gtx 660 has 960 streaming procesors and 2 gb of ram. Plus the default core on a normal gtx 660 is 980 and it has a GK 106 gpu, and mine is a GK 104 like a gtx 660 ti or 670. I wounder if this can be flashed to a gtx 660 ti. It does way over a 1000 core without boost on an overclock.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/6181/n...eforce-gtx-660

I did not realize what I had. I bought it new on the net and it has a green PCB. It is faster than my old gtx 480. I bought it for something to play with and so I could sell my current card.

So far, with a mild overclock and the fan on default boost is hitting 1100.

This is a very fast quiet little card. I believe it is a alienware oem card. No one else seems very excited about this card but it is basically a gtx 660 TI that I payed 159.00 for.

Crushes Skyrim in 1080p max setting, ultra pack, when overclocked with boost at 1100 or so the game hits 80+ frames 4x 16x

What an interesting card would be cool to see if it flashes to be Ti. Any idea if it has the extra memory on it.

I always search CL for OEM cards like this- they are usually a great value. When you move on to something else and want to let it go, drop me a PM.

save the original bios then try to flash to a reference 660TI bios to see if the shaders unlock?

The memory amount mismatch might pose a problem.

May have the full amount of memory just with a custom bios to limit it? Seems kinda odd that they would build a random reference card with those specs and it be the ONLY card unless it was some kind of test card.

Ive been on TPU for to long. I was thinking the same thing......sad.

Do you remember that one guy who posted a picture of his desktop with a benchmark and someone noticed he had a rape simulator icon on his desktop? Then when someone asked him about it he said "He doesnt play it. He just wanted to try it out and forgot to uninstall it" lol

This is an OEM GTX 660, there aren't a lot of them out there, but it isn't a one of a kind card. You can/could only get them in Pre-Built PCs. It was released before GK106 was ready, the OEMs wanted a cheaper GTX600 series card, so nVidia made this card with GK104 to appease them. It is kind of stupid that they called it GTX660 and then release a GTX660 in the retail channel based on GK104, but whatever.

I doubt the full memory amount is on the PCB. Though it should be pretty simple to find out, assuming this is a basically reference PCB. The extra 512MB of memory pickybacks on the same memory bus as some of the other RAM(that is how the GTX660Ti gets 2GB with a 192-bit bus). So those extra two memory chips are put on the back side of the PCB. If there are two memory chips on the back of the PCB, the extra 512MB is there, if they isn't any memory on the back of the PCB, then the card only has 1.5GB.

As a side note if you pull the stickers off EVGA cards they look just like that because most are OEM Nvidia. My 8800gt actually had the Nvidia stickers under the EVGA stickers

It is a strange card I must say. I am glad it works well for him.

Thanks but I knew this read the link I posted, and It has the extra ram on the backside I believe. It seems near as fast as the stock 670 I had for a short period when oveclocked. If you wondering about the double post my iPad will not do multi quotes. There is no option for it in the browser.

Yes, they do sell them. Well I cannot get voltage control to work. The card does retail gtx 660 speeds no problem at default voltage, and it is faster than a retail gtx 600 at those speeds. It seems to bench near gtx 660 ti numbers as one would expect. The cooler is near silent at default.
