Makes me wish I had the funds to build another.

Looks like I'm going today or tomorrow, but still trying to figure out what to buy.

Everything I've bought has been in-store only. Order on-line and pickup within 3 days. If they offered those prices and shipped, my guess is they'd be moving a lot more goods.

Most of these deals are called "loss-leaders." They get people in the store so they can sell them high-dollar accessories, software, services, etc.

I just got an email from them with a deal on an i3 and an MSI H61 board for $120 AR.

No shit! I went to pick up a CPU and MB before thanksgiving and spend another $70, bought a $15 LG DVD burner and a $36 CM 212 Evo, and some other things I can't even remember, lol

Indeed. Love beantown and know a few people there, so it's an opportunity to stop, say hi and have a few beers.

I wished they would offer a free FM2 board with the purchase of a 5800K then I would be all over it like the clap at a sex party

I have been itching to get a 5800K but after I swung the CPU I would not have enough left over for a mATX board.

same here, order on-line and pick up at store, especially those hard to find items which sometimes are not in their shelves, I make them do the work for me

I love MC, I know almost all of them who work at the store near to my house, especially one of the store managers, she is very courteous and friendly, know me for almost 6 yrs now.

Frys has lately become the Open Box Store, especially motherboards being abused/raped. Atleast @ MC if its a returned item, they test it and certify it before it goes back on the shelf and best part is they are intact and works. Bought a open box ITX board from Frys, which they said inspected and repacked, went home nothing, it was dead, freaking waste of gas.

Thats the one where I got my laptop, the Marietta location. Great store, excellent selection of mechanical keyboards, including the Ducky.

The staff is really good at the Cambridge store too. Always get asked if I need help, and they want to help build systems... they like to geek out, even vicariously.

They have a rack of returned discounted goods. I saw a 7850 the last time I was there listed at $149... wish I had grabbed it.

I was in Westmont today, and didn't have enoug cash to pick up a CPU/mobo combo, so I was just going to pick up a bundle of CD's, a power strip and some cheap DDR3. Waiting in line for 10 minutes before I set the stuff down on the counter and walked out. Soo disappointed.

+1: Mine too if I had money to afford to go and get stuff. The same store Sasqui went to is about an hour away from me. I do enjoy going into the Boston area occasionally though (when it isn't rush hour. ).

How is NH, I used to live there (Manchester), nice small state, I miss it.

I'm glad My state has a microcenter, I built a gaming PC for under $700, with Some pretty Nice parts.

IMO, it's best to buy Some from them, but their GPU's , and PSU's aren't as low as Some Estore's All the time. But they DO rock.

Cambridge TRIP!!!!

I think Binge may help you, he's shipped to folks here in the past, shoot him a PM.

Should be going again to the Cambridge store again the weekend after New Years if you can wait that long.
