Amazon Slips Out GTA V Release Date

Those who marked Spring of 2013 as the most beautiful time of the year to come -- because your favorite game franchise has one coming for you -- will have to spend almost the entire season watching blooms and leaves sprout. Amazon revealed the definitive launch date of GTA V to be June 19, which is just two days short of June 21, the official start date for Summer. The addition to the hit game franchise will arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 first, even as Rockstar "considers" other platforms, such as you know -- TFLOP/s capable PCs.

And for the next couple of years, whenever news about a new GPU/CPU is posted or maybe a very high end PC, the first reply will be... "CAN IT RUN GTA V? LOL"

As it runs on the same console hardware as GTA IV, I highly doubt it would need more beefy hardware on PC than the previous title.

Won't happen. They want to milk it. Release consoles first, collect $$$. Make PC crowd hot n' bothered. Release PC version, collect $$$. They want DBL sales

most GTA games, I've played first on consoles, then PC, with the exception of Vice City, as I played only the PC version of it.

I would always play it first on consoles, main reason is that it comes out there first, play it out until I get bored with it and wait for the PC version, wait for some mods to come out, download a story completed save, and play it again.
