Looking for a Laptop, any deals?

I have a good friend looking for a laptop. So if you see any deals let me know.

US $400 budget

15" but flexible on size

APU ether A6 or i3

Not concerned about battery life, mainly wants HDMI so he can stream netflicks.

So ASUS does not have a 2 year warranty any longer?

What are you using it for? Business or entertainment, playing game?

I have one. Had it since late last winter. No problems. If all your friend wants it for is basic internet surfing and watching videos, this will do that. Very good battery life, 5-6 hours.

BTW, the specs are wrong on RadioShack's page. The CPU is only 1.3 ghz.

Oh, just realised you wanted HDMI, the Toshiba I suggested only has VGA.

I'd suggest a tablet or a 13" with HDMI out. Any reason not to go tablet?

Cost and CPU/GPU power and hard drive capacity. But im listening so why go tablet? And this is mostly a desktop replacement but he may go 13" if the deals right

You may want to get the Asus Transformer tablet (Quad-Core), it is simply 2-in-1 laptop and tablet and is perfect for surfing the net, posting stuff on forums (like on here for example) and watching videos on YouTube and is fair in power (both performance and consumption wise) I would believe.

They are fairly new so you won't feel to bad if you were to get one now in comparison to getting a SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab 2 tablet (Dual-Core), although it would appear the Asus Google Nexus 7 tablet (Quad-Core) is the most advance tablet on the market for its price at the moment (but that is another option for you to decide).

Nice might be an option. How do they perform?

Great, god I hate HP. But for that price might have to pull the trigger.

Anyone bought from these guys? (1saleday.com)

Goggled some reviews and the site has some bad reviews

They are liquidators but items I've bought have come intact.
Shipping time varies though there is no express.

Walmart + extended warranty = win

...except for the American worker who lost his job to Walmart/China but being a laptop this is null.
