Wife Wants a Windows Phone; Question

My wife is wanting to get a Windows 8 Phone. Since these phones are relativativly new to the market, I don't have much experience with them. One question she has is the following: do they have turn by turn navigation that is not an App or Verizon/ATT? Does Microsoft offer turn by turn navigation on their phones?

Guys he is not asking about what phone to get, he is asking if they have turn by turn navigation similar to Android and iOS/Iphones.

OP, my dad has the HTC 8X and Im pretty sure it has integrated navigation.

Hey Pal,

All Windows Phone 8 phones have a map, which has turn-by-turn features. But that is not as convenient as any paid navigation apps. It will show you the route and then tell you the command like "turn right". Once you done the command, you have to tap the screen again to get the the next command via the voice.

But if you buy a Nokia Lumia series (Lumia 920(At&T OR International)/Lumia 820(AT&T OR International)/Lumia 810(T-mobile)/Lumia 822(Verizon)/Lumia 620(International)), You will get a free application called Nokia Drive.
That application will give you some great features including
01) Free Turn-By-Turn Voice Navigation for more than 140 countries (Google/Android gives free navigation for US only).
02) The option to download the complete map of any country and use it for Offline Voice TBT Navigation. I mean you can down load the map and use the TBT navigation offline even without a SIM card inserted (No internet needed).
03) Gives free traffic information. Etc..,

If you really want a WP8 device and Voice navigation is a must. There is only one option out there. Buy a Nokia Lumia series device.

True that man. I tried to get my wife a cheaper android phone but she wanted the razr like I did and would not settle for anything less.

No She picked that phone cause she has an android tablet and that was in our price range at the time. (got them for 1-cent a piece.) SIII is around 150 right now and thats 300$ +30$x2 upgrade fees = no lovin for me for quite some time.
