Yeah on top of your initial screw over it may just start all over again. There is plenty of disgruntled threads over at the Ubi Forums over the AMD promo and the Samsung Promo. This Ubi we're talking about afterall...

Woohoo! just got a code for FarCry in the mail, from "AMD Game Evolve"

AMD Gaming Evolved Never Settle Promo - Game Keys P2

Email is a whole different format from the one I got last night, perhaps they had issues with servers talking to eachother.

Wait, what? Did you have the same thing happen that I described?

Did you write a note to "support@amd4u.com" - they got me the new code before lunch today and even followed up with an apology email.

... not that I've had a chance to try the code! I'll post results tonight.

It worked fine for me.

No, they sent me the email anyway. I thought it would help clear up the ambiguity (if there was any) regarding Far Cry 3 not being steam activated.

I didn't get your point... it's NOT tied to Steam in any way?

It is NOT tied to Steam, it is strictly Ubisoft. I might have been wrong about the limited timespan to re-download the software if you lose it, but if you lose the email with your order information you may be boned. What I like about Steam is that it keeps track of everything and you don't have to hunt down all your game rights when your PC blows up.

Yea, that's what I like about Steam too. Just don't like the fact that you have to be online to take the license. Wish they had an option, but it's better than shuffling installs!
