Best budget Motherboard/Ram combos

Personally from all my builds ive found for the money you can't go wrong with Asrock motherboards and Crucial Ballistix series ram , ive had excellent service out of both true the ram is slightly higher than some brands but not by much , only a few dollars ,and if your like me and have good luck with a brand id say if its not broke don't fix it lol.

Crucial is decent RAM, Don't buy a budget Asrock board.... Get Asus for a few $ more. You'll thank me later.

Asrock makes great quality boards. Asus is overpriced. Asus is buying Asrock FYI. He will thank me later.

Crucial Ballistix Sport series is the best bang for the buck IMO. At same frequencies, the Sport series performs as well if not better than high end ram even at higher latencies.

Well, Asrock uses a lot of Asus technology. Asrock was spun off by Asus many years ago to a company Asus owns called Pegatron. Asus started Asrock and restructured the company.

I've read alot of reviews on Asrock boards and seen alot of problems (mostly firmware). Asus is "overpriced" but I would like to see any other board that could survive a child trying the "short jumper to power on a bare board" trick and survive with only an "Asus Anti-Surge" warning.....
Very happy if Asus aquires Asrock facilities.

I used to review boards until recent. I have reviewed Intel and AMD for almost 2 years. Asus has the best package to offer no doubt but most do not need the extras at the budget. ASrock offers an extensive package also but if your looking at a budget Z77 board, ASrock, Gigabyte and MSI offer some great boards at $120-150. Asus does not. CPU performance will be within 1% on all boards now a day and Asus admits this. Asus has a lot of things that are better like mentioned earlier but the separation happens at a higher price point. There are plenty of other options and Asus is not the only game anymore which is good for the consumer.

Kudos for Gigabyte and MSI. Have purchased both and love them too....

i had to RMA my board 4 times in less than 2 years and even now i have problems with BIOS and the LAN stopped working.
the build i did last jan, has already got issues with the 3.3V pin becoming loose on the 24pin connector.

whenever i go to the service center there is atleast 20 people in line? mind you, they release people at the rate of one per minute. they only ask the name , and the problem and hand a token.

like i said. asus quality is shit

Good to know... Been using Asus and MSI exclusively for many years, no problems.

Very good point. They might do "torture tests" but an hour at high temp has nothing to do with 5yrs overclocked.

MSI for the mb, avexir for the memory, end of the story

Seriously, ASRock mb never tested. Crucial memory never tested also

, I have tested only Corsair, G.Skill and now Avexir and for me Avexir is the best price/performance ratio. Great looking also.

in my expirience and customers rewievs i'v read all the best and all the worst for any of those companies and their boards..,its just mater of luck!but i know one thing for sure..MSI offer big bang mpower board witch had every single board tested ..and all boards are tested for great overclocking!! even with that thing on mind they are much cheaper then asus!!
MSI or ASROCK if u want budget board!!

you could try to take some local brand for ram, their price usually lower than well known brand and you can save some for other components
