Honestly I know DayZ is just a mod for Arma 2 but it did make quite a splash this year with the internet crowd. I believe it should have had a place on the list.

Mass Effect 3 -decent game, lots of bad press because of a cutscene
Guild Wars 2 - terrible expansion upon the original, with no real end game content, my most hated
Far Cry 3 - excellent addition improving upon the series, my go to game
Diablo 3 - a terrible flop compared to the good old D2 days, bored the hell out of me
XCOM: Enemy Unknown - made me play for a week solid after hating rts, good well made game
Max Payne 3 - entertaining, thats about it
FIFA 13 - football is football
Borderlands 2 - good if you have decent friends to play with
COD: Black Ops 2 - CoD is CoD and nothing more
WoW: MoP - Pandas... quit WoW a year ago
Hitman Absolution - great game, well made, entertaining and challenging
Sleeping Dogs - way better than GTA and Saints Row, had a lot of fun playing it.

My game of the year is probably LoL, no game can make me rage so hard, and then make me want to play more.

Title should be changed to favorite PC game of 2012. I voted for Borderlands 2 because it was my favorite that was on the list. Planetside 2 would have my vote if it were on the list. Favorite video game this year though? Halo 4, hands down.

I hope it will be Farcry3! I think my wife is getting it for me for Christmas. If not I'll buy it Christmas day.. Hehehe This is not a 2012 game, but I just started Prototype 2 and I really like it. I beat the first one when it came out, and it was great as well. I want boarderlands 2 also... hehehe I don't want to vote til I play Farcry3.. So, I guess I'll wait to vote.

Ummmm.... I was gonna vote, but then I realized Assassins creed 3 wasnt listed.

Sorry, but assassins creed 3 had more work put into it with more dev hours than any other game this year.

It had many faults, and pc version needs more graphics configuration options (hopefully they will be patched in) but its still clearly the game of the year. The sailing sequences alone are enough to win it.

Also, I dont believe FIFA 13 belongs on the list. Nothing against FIFA, but I dont believe sports games that have yearly releases should be included unless they are switching to a brand new graphics engine like when new console is released.

Oh and to all the people that say it was a bad year for games... what a load of crap. Way more AAA games released this year compared to last year. It was a great year for games.

True. That didn't stop me spending around 300 Euros this year. I'm still asking myself why...

I will probably start Far Cry 3 during these holidays, watched a fair bit played by my son and it's definitely a good single payer game. Borderlands 2 should win just for the opening sequence with that song Short Change Hero.

lol been having that song on a loop since I first listen to it. Great song. Borderlands always have good opening songs IMO.

Basically what this shows is that everyone seems to like different games and there doesn't seem too be one game here that blew everyone away.

And that old games are still being played regularly.
