Quick advice on windows vista please
Hi all, my daughters laptop is having problems. She has vista installed and Microsoft Home Office 2007. A few weeks ago her Office programs stopped working and she got an error code of: Error 25004.config.xml not specified a valid config.xml file must be authored when deploying (new).
We have tried to uninstall office but it will not allow it (even in safe mode). We've tried to repair office with the installation disc but it will not allow that. We've searched the net for suggestions but most come up with "re-install windows". She has since had Vista do an update and an error occured saying: Microsoft.net framework 3.5 family update failed (kb959204)x86 Any clues ??? Failing a fix I'll try a clean install for her. Her laptop specs are: Acer aspire 5920 Intel Core TM 2Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHZ 3 gig memory two HDD's c = 11 gb d = 107 gb Windows vista (32) installed. Now my question is ... will this take a windows 7 (64bit) install without problems? |
