I really like my GTX480, but I would trade for the 7870 because they are all GHz editions, and you should be able to overclock it some as well. The GTX480 is a great card and your FTW should be great as well, but the 7870 is newer and should sale better down the road and have better performance or the same in some games.

It will also save you some cash on the power bill. Not major but it adds up.

i would do the change in a heartbeat, gtx 480 IS the most power hungry single gpu in the history wile 7850 uses at max 100w according to wizz revievs + its an oc monster.
edit : i tought is about 7850, taking about 7870, no brainer - do the deal right now until the other one changes his mind.

7870 for sure. Less power consumption, but more performance in every game.

Not familiar with that manufacturer (being here in the States I guess) but all looks fine at a glance.

Why exactly is this guy wanting to downgrade?

BTW that benchmark is 2x GTX 480.

i wouldn't say downgrade, a 7870 is more on par with a 580 or 660Ti. Plus the power consumption is def lower.

You need to be worried about what might be wrong with the 7870.
