quick look on 8970 spec it resemble to 7970Ghz edition down to core clock. is this will come out when amd officially launch 8k series later or is this rebrand for OEM only? btw are these spec even legit to begin with?

I don't get it, how is this space saving it takes up much more space and that little 80mm fan looks dumb. The 690 was a dual slot also and ran just fine.

This card is so late do you think this is a sign that AMD told ASUS that they won't be able to make a 8990 so ASUS just decided to come out with this card?
