SilverStone Mammoth MMO1 EATX Case Detailed, Too

SilverStone also exhibited a strange new case that supports longer EATX motherboard (useful for dual-socket workstation boards), but not XL-ATX (up to 10 add-on cards). Pictured below, the Silverstone Mammoth MMO1 is wider and longer than most ATX full-towers, and features two large 180 mm front intake fans that draw air through an air-filter. It forms part of the lower-front panel. The upper portion reveals a couple of 5.25-inch bays, and front-panel ports, such as USB 3.0 and HD audio.

I think that's an air filter. Like you have in cars or in industrial(-ish) grade equipment that has a need for an air filtration unit.

Yeah it looks a lot like the air filter for a car or a home's air return.

And why would air-filters need water-cooling inlet/outlet?

^ true! i can see 2 fittings near the bottom of the front door - inlet + outlet most likely.. can be missed in the 2nd pic but clearly visible in the first..
the white mesh/grid is the rad? but the it 'seems' like a filter(similar to cars, as onedub said) or probably the rad inner face lined with this white filter?..

Yes, like Lian-Li cases that have the entire front fascia removable, so that when mounted, it can support the entire weight of the chassis when you're moving the case around.

I thought it was a filter too. Folks aren't used to seeing a white radiator, nor one that is integrated in a case design. Now I'm liking it

Ah, SilverStone, we can always count on you to push things in an interesting direction.

Any word on a release date for that thing?

I thought that was a car air filter too.

If those are the inlet/outlet ports at the bottom than that is going to be very restrictive, those are tiny.

Why is there no information anywhere about this case? What a tease. The Silverstone site does even mention it

"The front of the case seems to house a large air filter, and not a radiator as the source claims."

I thought the same about the nozzles. Very restrictive...
Interesting all the same though.

I'm pretty sure those 'nozzles' nearly everyone is talking about are actually clips that just hold the filter in place on the case. I think they just clip into place between the two bits of plastic just below the bottom fan on the front panel.

Actually, the front white thing is an air filter. Linus did a video on it during CES and pulls it out of the front panel.
