Sleeping Dogs Dishonored Far Cry 3 XCOM: Enemy Unknown Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD 2011 Dirt 3 Skyrim Deus Ex 2010 Fallout New Vegas Split Second Assassin's Creed II Dragon Age I Bioshock II 2009 Mirror's Edge Resident Evil 5 The Sims 3 2008 Bully Scholarship Edition Dead Space Devil May Cry 4 Spore 2007 Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars Tomb Raider Anniversary 2006 Half-Life Episode one Black & White 2 - Battle of the Gods Heroes of Might and Magic V Hitman: Blood Money The Godfather: The Game 2005 Indigo Prophecy F.E.A.R. Call of Duty 2 Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2004 GTA San Andreas Fable Silent Hill 4: The Room Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Counter-Strike: Source World of Warcraft Prince of Persia: Warrior Within 1999 Tomb Raider The Last Revelation I have played all this list of games and more. I have removed a LOT of games which where not worth it, but this is my opinion. If you go for a modern game, Sleeping Dogs is like playing GTA San Andreas, with some Assasin's Creed mixed. So if I was you, I would go with Sleeping Dogs. |

The skills and crafting are fairly straight forward once you know what items you need, where to get them, and what play style you want to use. The AI system can take a bit of getting used to, but basically early on in the game you don't want to be caught doing anything illegal or attempt battling guards or other trained combatants. Breaking laws can have varying and sometimes confusing results, but it's always easily overcome if you do get into trouble via sleeping through jail time or escaping jail, which also buffs your lock picking and sneaking skills. BTW, part of Mass Effect's replay value is also in what class type you play as. Class types with biotic skills can vary greatly from soldiering skills. When I go back to play through it next time I will probably choose Vanguard instead of soldier. |

Many blockbuster games here. How about a huge battlefield with realistic tank battles that you can play at your own pace, and has big replayability? Acceptable learning curve, well done tank interiors, unseen scenarios (mesopotamia, africa, asia) Sandstorms, rain, aircraft and infantery included? Plus an editor for your own ideas, so you can literally create insane battles?
Try Steel Armor Blaze of Ware (demo available)

Old games:
Sanitarium Tomb Raider Deus Ex: The Conspiracy No one lives forever: The Operative Perfect Dark Serious Sam: The Next Encounter BloodRayne FAKK 2 Drakan Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness Unreal Quake 2 Postal 2 New Games The Walking Dead Torchlight Amnesia Alan Wake Duke Nukem Forever Doom 3 BFG That's it. All listed games are long, immersive, innovative, interesting and (relatively) hard. Some of them are scary others not but all of them bring lots of fun.

I guess we can assume you have already played Minecraft? Sometimes I like to go back and play Doom 3 on hard mode, BFG would be a good chance for that. I just can't spend $30 on a game that I already own.

Dark souls if you like rewarding gameplay. Dying to a boss 10 times in a row then finally beating him feels like an actual accomplishment.

I played DOTA when it was on WC3, then played LoL since it was released. I played DOTA 2 for about an hour and couldnt really bare to play any longer. Guess I just preferred the original back in the day. Now it's just boring.

Is the DOTA community any better than LOL? The nerdrage really gets to me after a few games.

I like the gameplay of LoL better than Dota2, but I haven't put more than 10 Dota2 games in so far.
