Unexpected Performance - SAPPHIRE HD 7850 2GB GDDR5

Hello everyone.

Just yesterday and after a lot of struggling (http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=178098) I managed to build my rig (see specs) and got it working stable.

The problem now resides to my card performing badly. Like ...bad.

With my PC I can't even imagine what Blizzard could add in WoW to put it into a some kind of stress... With that being said I encounter an Impressive amount of constant 20 fps... on ultra, on high and on medium settings...

Really, I am all ears on what I should try to do to overcome this issue.

What I have already done (card is installed on PCIE X16):

Cleaned pervious drivers while being in safe mode
Freshly installed 12.10 drivers
Enabling / Disabling VSync
Power options in Win7 is set to High performance
Tried all of the variations in Catalyst
Run MSI AfterBurner while playing (everything looks fine)

I really try to convince myself I am not that unlucky (considering my last post in NVidia section) and I hope I am dumb enough to have forgotten something to do when I installed my card just to prove the hardware is not faulty... again.

Thanks in advance for those who will take some time to read / comment on this.

I wonder if the game is using your IGP? Have you tried other games?

The video in your CPU and motherboard (onboard video). Check BIOS to see if it's enabled. If it is disable it and try again.

What CPU are you running, somehow I can't see your specs because I'm on tpu mobile version. World of Warcraft likes fast CPUs. What was the load on the GPU while gaming as shown in MSI afterburner?

I'd grab GPU-z, flip to the sensors, and fire up a game. I think we need to see what the card is doing.

GPU when gaming had recorded a max of 99% if that helps (coming from MSI: Afterburner)

Try running with no AA?
Make sure AA is not set to super sample?

Is it only WoW causing this problem?

Run the GPU-Z stress test to see if the PCI-E speed changes which will be noted in the GPU-Z application.

Unluckily for me it didn't... glad to hear that it worked for you though.

And for the love of god... why does it have be this way when it comes to ATI drivers ?
I mean why do they go selectively on titles they want to optimize. Why not go for the whole thing. From what I've seen on the net, many (like... Many!) people complaint about ATI and how this company handles these situations.

Well, considering it works fine for other people, I suspect there is something else that is wrong other than drivers... There are plenty of people who don't have issues with AMD drivers either. Also ATi has been gone for a while, AMD gobbled it up some time back.
