Don't see Sniper as a free dl, TF2 does have a demo... I'll have to look further after I try this.
Edit: sheesh, how big is TF2? I'll dling at 1-1.5MB/s, and it's going to take awhile!

I don't like people, so none. I have played WoW a fair bit (and even played battlegrounds almost serously for a while) bit not with others. I did have the topic in mind for some reason when i saw this thread. And i just thought of a brilliant concept: Thief duels. When i was obsessed with Thief 2 i always hated that it wouldnt work in multiplayer, but i realise now it might work on dual style maps. Or up to four players or something like that. It would be like a normal thief 2 map, huge and open, but you share it with a few other players. You would each be given the same goal and would have to compete with each other to finish it.

Does something like it exist? Does it even make sense? I would play that.

Have been thinking about getting BF3. But im not sure.. WoW i have to stay away from aas it devours time even if i only play solo

Sniper Elite V2 has a demo and it goes on sale from time to time dirt cheap. Hell I got Max Payne 3 a few weeks ago from steam for like $15.

Looks like this will take awhile. I'm cameljock1 in steam, if I ever get this finished....
Edit: one steam friend so far, any one else, I'll watch my account.

I can see I will have to optimize my network card and router for steam, sad dl speeds have taken over. I expect 1MB/s + speeds at all times Which I was getting today. It's dropped to 50Kb/s now... arg. So now will take all night just for one game. Anyone know why this would be? This is part of the reason I didn't want to buy into steam in the first place.... Now it's upto 300k. Is this normal?

I usually do my steam downloading when I hit the bed for the night so I don't pay to much attention to the download speeds.

Also my name on steam is gsdewd.

Yep, so far have 4 friends listed. Messing around with TF2 in offline mode right now, see if I can get good enough to go online!

No one does Borderlands2 online here? Still waiting for that and/or BF3 to go on sale, a bit pricey for me still. Still playing with TF2, and getting the hang of capturing control points. Going to finish the offline training, then try online with someone....

Heh, yeah, think I played with that a bit. I just prefer 1st person shoot em up, flying, or driving mainly. TF2 is a bit silly as a shooter, but it does take a bit of though to not get blown up, and accomplish the mission. And you get a big ass mini-gun! Then of course the more serious shooters that actually do require skill... Still prefer my WW1 flight sim Rise of Flight for extremely immersive combat action.

I'm also a bit surprised that not many people do Borderlands 2 here. I have been on and off with the game mostly because I only play with my cousins. Which I'm lucky to get in once a week if their not busy. But I made another character just so I can play on my own now.

Right now, the 2 games I would buy to play online would be BD2, and BF3. But not sure how to get BF3. Not putting more than one malware on my box at a time. I might get the full TF2 though, that is darn fun.

Lol it's free to play, but if you buy just one item you will receive plentiful inventory space. I believe the "full" version you are looking at is probably the Orange Box which would only be a good purchase if you are interested in the other games.
Again, I also recommend Blacklight: Retribution for a decent free-to-play shooter.

What is BD2? Maybe you mean Borderlands 2? If so that is BL2. I'm not sure where the D would come from.

Yes, I was a bit buzzed when I posted that, I did indeed mean Borderlands 2..... Still would like to pay less than 60US for it though....
