Totally forgot, my bad.
![]() I bought the Jagdtiger 8.8cm. Great tank, fun to play and earns a lot of cash, the rounds are dirt cheap also. I though the 88mm L71 will handicap the tank, but it totally compensates with the insane RoF. I'm glad i bought it, because the Dicker Max was a total let down, it earns to little, the rounds cost to much, the gun is unreliable at long ranges (this virtually kills it) and the MM is a SoB with this tank.

Lets compare VK3601 and (my) Tiger:
Guns: Vk3601: 88/56 Tiger: 88/71 (better), but currently 88/56, so draw Armour VK3601: 100/60/60, 100/80/80 Tiger: 100/82/82, 82/82/65 slightly better sides, but hull down (which you should with paper armour) VK3601 better Performance VK3601: 760hp, 40km/h, 15.4hp/t, 24deg/s, turret 26deg/s Tiger: 1350hp, 30km/h, 11.1hp/t, 22deg/s, 23 deg/s. Hands down VK wins other than health So how is Tiger an upgrade to VK3601? The only two advantage is the 88/71 and more hp, but its worse in every other metric. HP and better gun is negated by the existence of Tiger P, and also tier 9 tanks. This kitten is one sad pile of metal :< |

In practice, the Tiger is still better than the VK 3601H. But the matchmaker is unforgiving on the Tiger.

I can probably do as well as Tiger P (about 53%) once I unlock the top gun, but damn the 88/56 is almost useless against IX vehicles, and with poor scouting it can be relatively difficult to flank without exposing to great risks. It even struggles against XIII opponents.

If I remember back to my very old Tiger days, a VK's 88mm gun cannot pen the front armour of the Tiger, I remember on lots of occasions in the VK have to run away because I just was not stopping them advancing on me.

The problem with the Tiger is that it should be one tier lower, the IS2 didn't came out until mid/late 1943, and the T29 didn't even left the prototype stage in 1945. In fact this tanks were developed as a response to the Tiger, and should theoretically fight the Tiger II.
Anyway, get the top engine and the 88mm L/71, it gets better once you have those but expect pain and frustration. The Tiger requires a lot of skill and a trained crew with 2 or 3 perks/skills to reach it's full potential.

IMO it's way different. You have much more mobility, crap armor, great acceleration and engine power.

Same guns, when you are in the bottom tier everything penetrates you, when you are in the top tier you still need to move around cautiously. The only difference is that you can and should actively relocate the Tiger, whereas its not always possible with the Tiger P.

Welcome man.
It's not hard, just take it easy and in low tiers try as many nations/tanks/SPG's/TD's as you can to make an idea about game and different playing styles divided by nations and classes. Keep in mind just some general advices: - training crew - 50% is bad, 75% is somehow decent, 100% with some secondary skills is uber. - learn maps - learn tanks weakspots - equip tank with modules/consumables In the first tiers all above doesn't matter much but starting from Tier 5 you should begin to take care of your crews/tanks. Have fun.

Strategy really is the great equalizer.
9 of us with 47-49% winrate, one with 50% winrate, two with 52% winrate, one with 54% winrate, one with 56% winrate, and one with 59% winrate. We're up against 15 with at least 52% winrate, with one being 69% and another being 67%.

'Non-gold stars' are undistributed XP, exclusive for each tank. 'gold stars' are free XP, which can be used for researching anything on any tank possible. 5% of every XP you earn in every match is turned into free XP (this is not deducted from the XP you earn, so the undistributed XP is not 95% but rather still 100%).
And since you're Canadian, the map 'Serene Coast' (you'd most likely first encounter it in Tier III) is actually Canada.

Yes, researching the 'modules' and buying them are essentially upgrades on the tanks. Doing so also would unlock the next tier of tanks in the tech tree.

Actually having fun with this... I might actually buy into it. Very well done, and lots of action. Almost as much fun as ROF!

Well, it's certain now. I either want to form a clan, which is doable, or join one. Not sure yet. Will be buying advanced crap... waiting for my paypal to load up.
