miniSAS to 4x SAS cables

please help me find a cable that is miniSAS out to 4x SAS. remember that SAS connectors combine the power and the data so I believe the cable will need to include a way for the drive to get power.

the miniSAS end will connect to this: areca ARC-1223-8I PCI-Express 2.0 x8 Low Profile S...

come to think of it, that card might have regular SAS and not miniSAS but since it can handle 8 ports I assume it is miniSAS since that has the ability to break out to 4 lanes.

Get this one instead if you haven't purchased...it comes with the cables.

areca ARC-1223-8I-MS PCI-Express 2.0 x8 Low Profil...

Otherwise, yes, miniSAS cables.

Although you may want to contact Areca to make sure they work with that model.

^ It comes with some SATA breakout cables. I believe he's looking for SFF-8482 breakout cables like the one he linked earlier.

Oh.

Try Directron. They usually have this sort of stuff in stock. I use CDW for this sort of stuff, and I think they are Canada-only. Most retailers that deal with big business and Gov-type stuff will have what you need.

Expect to pay a bit more though, I suspect, probably around $50 or so a set, perhaps?

EDIT:

like this?

or do you need molex?

Stuff like this I often buy on eBay direct from Asia for a much better price. Recently got two nice blue with black sleeving mini-SAS to 4xSATA cables for $7 (for both).
