@johnspack: Before joining a clan I highly suggest you familiarize further yourself to the game. It's in the mid-tiers that you really get much immersion, because that's when all kinds of tanks can be teammates, and enemies (there's only 1 Tier IV heavy tank, and almost all heavy tanks are at least Tier V, and of course there would be less light tanks in those tiers because they have now mostly become medium tanks).

As has been said, take your time, gain experience and get to tier 5 before thinking about clans, go down an arty, TD and tank line, find out which suits your gameplay style best and what brings they greatest rewards in terms of Credits and xp.

Well, not sure if I picked the right starter tank, but I went with a medium. Already have caused way more damage than in a light, and live a lot longer too. Just wish there was a zoom function... like binoculars.

You don't know that pressing shift brings you to sniper mode, and that you can adjust zooming with the mouse wheel?

No, I didn't, until this last outing. Got my first confirmed kills tonight too! I've added a bunch extra to my medium already, had lots of credit to spend!

This silly little game is just a riot. Have my mark ii almost maxed out now, and multiple kills logged, all on free credit. Have to admit, I've spent quite a bit of time online with it so far. Some aholes out there, but most playing it are quite decent. The flamers ect tend to drop the game quickly, it's those who like it who stick around. I'll probably spend a bit of money on it.....

Is there a Tech Tree Focus Special at WoT NA too? Just had a USA special this January, so I bought a T29 and T20 at 50% lol

Most months on the EU server there are "specials" I tend to only but during thiose windows, then play for fun with the tank for a few weeks and sell at the price I paid..... bonus! I don't like more than 5 tanks in my garage though, I don't get enough time to play any more on a regular basis.

Clearly you don't have my job then! far too much time on your hands, I am lucky if I get an hour a day to play, often I don't but I might get a couple of hours at the weekend if I am really lucky.

I'm at home at 16:30 and I'm start playing from 17:00 to 22:00.
In weekend (if my wife don't carry me on shopping or put me on cleaning the apartment or another home duties) I'm playing from 10 AM to 10 PM.
Somebody shoot me please.

I only have 27 tanks after I bought the M7 MT yesterday.

Only play for like an hour a day here and there, but getting ready to research a Mark III, already have a Mark II with all the bells and whistles. My tier 2 should go to tier 3 shortly. Had this one match where a guy who was down to 1% damage I guess, backed into me and killed himself. They blamed me. But all the matches after that, everyone was cool, especially the last match where I ended up being the last defender for our base. Got killed against 5 enemy, but took one out first!

Stupid addictive game. Could of hit tier3 tonight, but had to stop for a bit. The way I'm going, should get tier 5 within the next week. Will be a lot more fun when I can join a clan. I'm used to being in squads, so I like the structure and comradeship of that.
Edit: and by the way, I use my forum nick from here in WoT... hint hint....

addictive huh.. i reach 10k battle yesterday and the addictive part is still strong.
I play T29 today, in the end i'm alone against 3 Tier 7 tank and 1 T6 tank, i find a place to dug in and make my final stand near base, they come in 2 wave and i manage to kill them all, ended up with 2400 Exp and Steel wall with 46 non penetrate hits.

Got six kills tonight, and finally got my Mark III. Going to stay in the Mark II for a bit and earn enought XP to max everything. Already got crew to 100% competence... but getting low on gold. Must blow more sh*t up!

Aww I don't particularly like that line of low-tiers (the tanks before the Matilda) in the UK tree, I prefer the ones that can get the Pom Poms and Bofors (i.e. the Cruisers). LOL
