DO NOT USE that program if you're on Windows 8.

I'm not touching my drivers, everything is perfect on the 13.2 beta 3's.

Another link for info on this beta, apparently only includes fixes for Crysis 3 Beta with MSAA, otherwise, useless if you don't play that.

These are also good if you want to run multi GPU WUs in WCG.

13.1 didn't work, but these seem to be working so far

Edit: few hours in and all is going well, no crashes

Running 13.2b3 right now, and it seems to make even Far Cry 3 run smoother. I'll probably wait until I get Crysis 3 before installing this one.

Only the ones mentioned in the AMD release.

The new memory management programming is still to come. These 13.2 betas look to address the Crysis 3 beta mostly.

I tried the 13.2 but had a few issues so reverted back to 12.11 (beta 6) which have been fine on the majority. I'll wait for the full memory management fix driver.

13.2 Betas fixed the display driver crashes on Windows 8 for World Community Grid GPU crunchers who run more than 1 work unit on their cards. I believe AMD made even more progress with these than they ever did with that "Never Settle" driver.

Got my 7850 today. It's awesome Installed these latest beta drivers and have tested a handful of games with my CPU at stock and GPU at stock. It's smoother than my GTX 660 was lol. Don't know whether I had a funky card or something but I'm definitely glad I have made the switch.

On another note, I swear some graphics in games look crisper than my 660 was?

Gonna be doing some all stock benchmarks and then overclocked benchmarks in alot of games over the weekend and then posting them in the evergreen thread on here seometime next week.

Just sad I didn't get Far Cry 3 download in the box, must have been a xmas only thing Really wanted to play that game as well.

Oh well, I'm off to benchmark

EDIT - I also have to mention the fact that it felt like I was getting alot of input lag on my 660, it appears to be totally gone with this AMD card and it's a joy to behold....must....stop......smiling lol

AMD seems to have better image quality and "warmer" graphics from what I always heard, while NVIDIA was more "performance oriented." I think you bought a 7850 at the perfect time as pretty much all of the drivers for 7xxx cards before this one were trash.

I've felt this way as well with the older nVidia cards I've owned in the past. I've found the AMD/ATi tends (tended for ATi) to have good IQ.

I have 7850 and 660. Returned the 660 because the images looked washed out compared to AMD 7850. This is on the same computer with the same monitor. No matter how much I tweak it on the Nvidia card, the IQ is still better on the AMD. Yes I took a performance hit going with AMD and no physx but I can't deny the IQ when viewing movies, pictures, and playing games.
I did notice the 660 was smoother but it is a faster card. The micro stutter is there on my 7850 but it's really not anywhere near as bad as techreport made it out to be. The artifacts/corruptions are pretty annoying sometimes but not present over 99% of the time. So it's your tolerance i guess.

Glad these drivers are fixing these issues.

When I upgraded from my 9800gt to a 6950 I thought the colors of the 6950 looked terrible. After a lot of playing with settings I found out that I had a bad hdmi cable I was useing. Maybe you guys experienced something similar between those two cards.

I think that has to do with color profiles. When I use Nvidia cards I usually up the saturation a little.

Yep, on sheer rendering power and image quality, ATI/AMD have always fared well. It's never been a question about pure hardware performance or core driver duties, and now they're even ironing out the driver nuances pretty well.

I remember even way back in '04 when we were sharing Painkiller screenshots on it's official forum, one guy remarked on how detailed some of mine looked and asked what GPU I was using. It was an X800XT, and although I did get some stutter in some games, it always had great image quality.

I've been playing Far Cry 3 lately on DX9 because the HD Textures mod I'm using crashes the game on DX11. I was really surprised at how good even the textures that haven't been modded look in DX9 on my 7970 though.

I just hope AMD customers let them know how appreciated these driver fixes are and AMD takes it seriously. They need to know that this kind of thing helps build a strong, loyal customer base.

Yeah, 13.2 definitely made me happier with my 7950, along with removing XFX's cool looking, but ineffective, cooler and replacing it with an Accelero Xtreme 7970. Still some stuttering here and there, and the card STILL goes into low power mode during TF2 which makes it go from 120 FPS to a really choppy 60 FPS until I do something to increase the GPU load like go outside the spawn room.
