Game problem

Hello there,

I'm having some problems with my computer, when i'm playing my games (Counter-Strike:Source and LeagueOfLegends) sometimes, my fps go to 2fps for like 40s and after goes to my normal fps, 50 on LOL and 120 on CSS, and that happens in both games and i dont know how to fix it.
I had windows xp but I formatted my computer because of it but the problem continues and now i have windows 7.
If someone knows how to help me I appreciate it, have a good day.

Could you post your system specs?

First thing that comes to my mind is that the GPU could be overheating and throttling down... Check if the fan (if active cooled) is working or for dust if that's the case.

maybe not enough RAM?
or could be loading something in the background
overheating and throttling is definitely a big possibility
do you have antivirus running and it's scanning background processes or spyware?

anyways, post all specs, os, software, and recent activities/changes leading up to this event.

Yes, it's overheating. I bet your laptop is full of dust. Try to clean it.

Dust is indeed our worst enemy in this realm. I gather once every three months in a ritual where I dance naked around a fire, then wet some rags and take my PC apart entirely dusting each piece while howling at the moon.
