Came across this on IGN & I do hope it's true, even though I've played the hell out of this game on Xbox, it being on PC would be f...king awesome if done (ported) right, all I can think of is MODS mods & more mods & obviously better visuals

I doubt it. There are quite literally tons of games in the Steam Database that never get released. As an example, Square-Enix has like every single Final Fantasy game entered into it. It most likely just means they asked Microsoft\Bungie for an updated list of their games, and Microsoft\Bungie just copied and pasted their entire catalog, so Valve added a bunch of games that aren't even real.

Might feel a bit weird jumping from Halo 1 to Halo 3, and I'd prefer GoW 2 and 3 go to Steam, which may be a possibility now that Cliffy B is out of the picture.

Seems like it would be a good move. I'd probably buy it and play it. Couldn't hurt Microsoft anyways, they've pretty much sold all of the copies of Halo 3 that they ever will so this would be pretty much pure profit for them.

I dont think its ever going to happen, Halo is one of those Xbox exclusive titles that make the Xbox a popular choice. If it happens, it will most likely affect future sales of halo titles for the xbox. Its not like GTA, where the devs release the game later on PCs only to counter piracy .

Ive been hoping that Halo 2 Vista would be released on steam, idk if its MP games are still up, but Halo:CE mp games still exist.

Halo2 servers have been down for sometime now. Halo CE and Custom Edition servers are still alive, albeit lag laden as hell. I still play Custom Edition on a daily basis.
