Let's hope that when those german lights go up a tier, they won't just add 150HP onto them but they will improve guns etc also, I found it pathetic when they increased the french lights where you are left with tier 8 tanks with piss poor penetration on their guns, I can understand low damage on auto cannons but if a tier 8 gun cannot pen the frontal armour of some tier 5/6 tanks then it's not actually a tier 8.

I don't really like German lights, they can only drive in straight lines (or nearly straight) otherwise they bleed speed too much. Much better to use a pretend medium like Pz III/IV where you can still zoom around at high speeds, but with guns which actually do a lot of hurt.
Found out that you can reverse sidescrape with Tiger P pretty effectively on certain spots, worth trying since the turret is placed in a forward position. Problem is that if people decide to flank you you will suffer. |

My lille old T71 light can pen a KV4's side and rear armour and it has 175mm pen I think..... sometimes it is about picking your spot though, I always aim low on a KV4.

88/56 has 132mm pen, cant even pen the back properly at sniping ranges. Makes me shiver when I finally bother to grind to Panther.

With HE in a close up skirmish I always aim in priority order at:
Ammo Rack Gun Engine Tracks You cant always get those dependant on the circumstance (you may not be able to circle him if he is against a wall) but basically a low damage non penetrating HE round still has the potential to blow the rack or make the gun temporarily inoperable.... it is pot luck to be honest but in those situations you have not got much choice!

Sold off my VK3601H to make room, crew and monies for Panther. If I thought the 88/71 did pitiful damage, the 70/100 does almost negilgible damage. Can't even 2 hit scouts. Feels like I have sold of my family silver and replaced them with a pile of steaming turd :'(

Either way Panther is going to be the end of my German mediums, will continue with Tiger II -> E75 -> E100 and Tiger P -> Ferdi -> JT. Then probably start another tree/ continue arty line. I originally wanted a Maus but then forum people told me its quite wortheless now so :/ |

What should I do? (you can choose more than one, but you cannot choose three or more choices with just 'buy' though, I don't have that many free slots)
a) buy Tiger II, sell Tiger b) buy Panther c) buy Pz. IV d) buy VK3002DB e) buy JgdPz. IV, sell StuG III f) buy GWPanther, sell Hummel g) buy Leopard h) buy Comet, sell Cromwell i) buy Churchill VII, sell Churchill I j) buy KV-3, sell T-150 k) buy T-34-85 l) buy T-50 m) buy SU-26, sell M37 n) buy AMX 12t o) buy S-35CA

I am going to buy Tiger II after grinding for cash, but keep Tiger because its fun to play.
Panther is a piece of turd, Panther II might be better buy why get a 88/71 on a tier 8 when you can get it on tier 7 with Tiger (P)? PzIV only if you want to derp 10.5, otherwise III/IV better. Or serve as a multipurpose platform, derp if you feel like it and 7.5 if you dont. Saves garage slot imo VK3002DB is pretty hard to play I think, given that you only have the 88/56. Expensive shell cost for little damage. Contemplating on buying JgPzIV too, but will never sell StuG III because it prints money for me. Yours might be different if you have premium tanks. Haven't reached Hummel yet, cant compare Leopard is pretty hard to use, if you have the T50 don't bother. Not sure about British or american tanks. |

LOL I had the III/IV ages ago hence why I unlocked both the Tiger and Panther (as well as the VK3002DB) already. Getting the Pz. IV is essentially for the Maus line.
Some of the choices have the 'sell' portion because I only have 1 free garage slot. And I have premium tanks anyway.

Buy Tiger II and sell Tiger
Buy GW and sell Hummel Only if you want to progress on these trees. The Tiger II is the most amazing thing i have ever used and i will never sell that thing like i will never sell my 3601h. |

Forget about SU-26. It was the funniest arty I've played in this game but after the nerf it's just a vegetable. It was hard nerfed in every aspect, RoF, aiming time, accuracy, turret rotation, ammo count, shell travel time, shell landing distance, everything you can imagine. And icing on the cake now I'm landing in Tier 6-7 battles mostly. Sold it. With regrets but I cannot play it in current condition (compared with previous performance of course).
GWPanther is the best arty for it's tier IMO. Tiger II elite is a nice tank which gives you a taste for the best German Tank, E-75 that's is. The only drawback of KT is that is loosing money like no tommorow (for me at least). VK3002DB is a so-so tank. I have it and playing it only for daily doubles because from him it will start the second German medium line. Dunno about new KV-3 because I've played it before it was moved one tier up. In the end it depends on what you want to play, you have a wide variety of choices there.

Sell StuG III for Tiger II, and sell either Tiger II or Tiger for JgdpzIV would be my current plan for you lol. If you have problems with crew just sell the StuG III for JdgPzIV for variety sake, Tiger II is not too different from Tiger from what I have heard, just play Tiger II like Tiger P |

Just to add my 2 penneth to your update above: F. yes definatly, I have one arty of each tier.... 5..... 6..... 7....8 and for me, the best tier 5 is the SU8 (had them all) and the best tier 6 arty is the GW Panther (again had them all), best tier 7 is M40/M43, and I prefer the T92 at tier 8..... again just pers preference. M. Yes definatly, SU26 is the best Tier 3.... again IMO N. Not so sure, it was good when it was tier 5, as a tier 6 its just too light, in armour and gun terms (most tier 3/4 guns will pen).... but a lot of fun if played right! O. Don't bother..... crap!

Can't get rid of StuG III, its too awesome. At this rate Pz IV is going to leave my garage leaving StuG III as my main farmer lol. I have averaged almost 13K net over the past 10 games, including the ones I lost. Not counting consumables since I stocked a huge load during the 50% off.

I've just gotten to the SU-14... Think it's going to be a hard journey to the big gun. :S
At least it got enough accuracy on the small gun for TD mode to work. |

The SU14 is both brilliant and shocking, brilliant for the gun as a tier 6 (although disapointing when you have no upgrade when going Object Tier 7) and shocking because of it's speed and lack of manouverability, basically you have no chance if any scout comes within 400m of you......... just hope you do not get built up maps like Ensk and the like.
