Need advice for a new monitor
Currently have a Samsung 27" and an NEC 2190UXp. I want to replace the NEC with another 27".
I was looking at Samsungs, but through some reading here I've noticed Dell seems to have a lot of mentions. Newegg doesn't have the model everyone is raving about, but they have this one, which is $299 after codes and all. Is this still a good panel or should I be looking at something else? Any advice is appreciate. Thanks in advance. |

that dell you mentioned is really good indeed.
however 27" wont look really good from a close distance due to low pixel density at 1080p. |

I'm a few feet away from my monitors. I'm sure you're correct, but I love my Samsung and I'm just looking for another of the same size to go on the other side of it.
I also saw this one that looks pretty awesome: ASUS MX279H Silver / Black 27" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Wide... |

Your current Samsung is a 1200p monitor. If you want to add another monitor, I highly suggest getting another 1200p monitor. Newegg currently doesn't have any 27" 1200p monitors in stock, maybe look else where?

Just curious why. I wouldn't notice a difference really, would I?

In that case, perhaps I should look for a cheaper 27" 1080p monitor and get two. Sell off the Samsung perhaps.
What about two of the Asus monitors that I linked above? |

That's 350 for the Samsung when the asus I listed is the same price and newer tech it looks like.

Have you thought about going with an IPS panel monitor like a Dell Ultrasharp series? I know there are a few in there that have low input lag

The Asus I linked above is an IPS panel. I'm leaning towards two of those and selling my current monitors.

Any other suggestions? My max budget per monitor is 350 but that is absolute max. Which is why many of the 1440 monitors are out of the running.

One more question. If I go with two catleaps will my 6950 2gb be able to run them both?

I mean more like two clients in two windows. Not extended display.
What about keeping my current Samsung and getting a catleap for my primary gaming monitor? That way I have a 26 and 27" monitor, one at 1920x1200 and one at 1440. |

You can do that, but im not sure how well your 6950 will do in games. Might make some of the unplayable.
