Having problems installing 3rd monitor

I have a Nvidia ZOTAC GEForce GT 640 video card and I am trying to connect my PC to my HDTV. I currently have 2 monitors connected. The current monitors are connected via the DVI -I and DVI-D and are running great, but when I try to connect the HDTV to the PC via HDMI, I am getting no signal at all. Can anybody help me out with this issue?

-Try another HDMI cable [if you have one or borrow one from a friend]
-Check input is set; select AV or PC on the HDTV menu
-Check the HDTV is detected in the Nvidia control panel

Brand name and model of the HDTV? would help

atb (all the best)
