Microsoft Windows 9 Arriving Next November?

Quote:
Win8China, a site that has provided a bunch of Windows leaks in the past which were hits (as well as misses), claimed that the software giant is working on Windows 9 for a tentative November 2014 product launch, and it would be as early as next January where we will be able to check out a beta. This, however, does jive with whispers on the street that Windows would get a yearly operating system update, and Windows Blue being touted to be a Windows 8 update later this year.
Another rumor and usually such kinds of rumors always come true.

I don't believe it at all....
Not that MS wouldn't do something like that but they'd probably already be feeling around for beta testers and they aren't so I just don't believe it.

Then again November 2014 does seem right...they do like to fuck over their consumers so it is possible

Instead of "Here's an update that's awesome" it turns into "Buy this $140 OS that should just have been an update to the last one".

I had 2015 in my mind. I kind of thought that at least 3 years would be okay in terms of keeping it within the standard release cycle, perhaps a Beta version in November 2014, but not full product.

They aren't new OS's Vista, 7 and 8 are basically the same Kernel the only true changes in the Kernel is the amount of memory it can address and the initial ease of malware mitigation.

All of which could have been easily addressed via Updates and service packs...

Yep Blue out in Q1 of 2014 seen the 1/15/2014 Beta end date on the Neowin page http://www.neowin.net/news/windows-b...esnt-show-much So it must be Blue they are talking about not Win9.

Remember all betas finish the time bomb before the release.

Windows Blue leaked and is already available on online sharing sites.

Version is 6.3.9364 (obviously still NT based just like W8) and its UI is very similar to W8.

It has IE11

Quote:
Screenshots of this leaked build reveal that there will be additional Snap Views which will allow users to open apps side by side with matching width, greatly improving multitasking. Bear in mind that this is an unauthorized leak, the build is not meant for the public. This is an early build and there is a possibility that new features will be added, or the ones seen in these images, can be removed.

It's only fucking over their customers if they force you to upgrade, which they don't.

It seems that Windows Blue is 9 (most likely). It appears that this leak 9364.0.FBL_PARTNER_OUT13.130315-2105_X86FRE_CLIENT_EN-US-IMP_CCSA_DV5.iso (a 2.6GB ISO file) is 100% legitimate.

Stephen Chapman of MSFTKitchen did a teardown of the leaked bits. He discovered mentions of the following Windows Blue SKUs that are apparently in the works:

Windows Blue RT
Windows Blue Personal
Windows Blue Professional
Windows Blue Standard Server
Windows Blue Enterprise Server
Windows Blue Datacenter Server
Windows Blue Web Server

And here is Windows Blue: 10 coolest features by PCWorld

Great, more of the same Win8 garbage. Whoever thought having tablet GUI for desktop systems would be cool, should be shot in the back of the head, mafia style. Only reason why so many ppl rushed for Win8 is because they paid 30 bucks for it. Otherwise everyone would stay with Win7 for sure...
