thoughts on the...

X1950XGE agp card? they are fairly cheep but i cant find reviews or even reliable specs online anywhere. any one used one?

System Specs

What details do you have on it? Inital inkling is its most likely a cut down 1950GT (less pipelines\vertex shaders) and thus probably a total POS for gaming.

TBH XGE doesnt strike me as something ATI would go with, more something a manufacturer has come up with, thus being able to make the spec however crappy they want, and other manufacturers will follow. Kinda like the situation is now with the old 9600Pro and XT. Its rare now to be able to buy one of them new that actually still has ATI reference clocks and uses BGA memory. Usually now you get crappy clocks of like 300\400 and the things are using god awful TSOP memory.

yup that is it. a lot of the ones i seen didnt hav a brand listed. does apear to be a standard x1950pro. thanx guys.

getting prices down to around 180's or so if u hunt hard enough.

with 30$+ for shipping. not the good deal i was hoping for

Just find a cheap GT, they OC rather nicely and should hold you for a while
