ok well the only things I want to note is that I'm at least waiting til the July 22nd price drop and at that point still getting the Q6600 and that there's a good $100-200 off in mail in rebates

Why are you using WD drives over the perpendicular seagates? those drives kill raptors in terms of file performance.

If you want to save a few bucks get the 320mb version of the EVGA GTS (http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814130082). It's the one I'm getting. Unless your running on a huge monitor (I mean huge) it's semi-pointless IMO. I'll be running it on a 40" Sony Bravia XBR2 1080p LCD. I've read reviews of that card and people have run it on 40" 1080p LCDs no problem. The 640mb will allow you to process more textures, but I personally don't see a need for it yet, but you might. And as a side note, I'm buying that same case, I heard it kicks! I also agree with the previous post about the HDDs. Go with the Seagates...much better, I've worked on machines with them, they are blazing fast.

Actually the 640mb beats out the 320mb, even on a 19". There are definite benefits, such as when using AA and AF etc., it's reviewed all over the place.

I would put a vote in for a better cooler. The 9500 is good, but there are better.

get a better PSU (more wattage, modular), and better hdd's (not western digitals!!), and I'd suggest a better cooler, maybe water?

I understand there are benefits, but not very noticeable from the 640 to 320...all the reviews I read said save the money if you're not on a huge monitor. This is from toms as well as anandtech.
