Oh, well then, damn drivers!!!
Raovac: 8/10 That's a pretty good gaming rig you've got there. My friend had alot of problems trying to OC his 4600+, so good job with that too. Oh, aximbigfan, sorry I didn't clarify. The x1650xt sucks too. |

---Edit---
Raovac Rig --------- 8/10 probably one of the fastest amd/ati combos but not any longer compareable with core2quad/duo and geforce 8800series ---Edit--- pbmaster good singlecore, still good graphicscard, but just not enough of local memory....1gb sucks in new games ..therefore 7/10---------

8.5/10.
Old CPU and the RAM are holding you back a bit, but your case is well done. Personally, I give myself a 7. :l Last edited by Cybie1111; Jun 4, 2007 at 05:34 AM. Reason: typo |

8/10
nice one, but you can go with bigger widescreen, in my opinion 19" wide is too small....maybe 20", also like the watercooling.

First off, for the above system :
Quote:
Good : Opty, Crucial Ballistix memory, Sapphire ( ) and ENERMAX!!!Bad : Creative (Overhyped and Overpriced) Sound, 17" CRT, Windows XP Other : Very decent Socket 939 setup that still has some life left in it, especialy if you were to add another gig of memory and get a bigger monitor! ![]() Now,To LiNKiN... What kind of setup did you have refering to your older spare PC? I'll shoot ya a PM cause I think I have a spare PC sitting around and collecting dust that will at least let you get back on the net and play a few games (like Guild Wars!)

Absolutely love it! It's basicaly one the best all around complete AMD based mATX boards on the market. I love the fact that the PCIE 16x slot is at the top, above the PCIE 1x slot which alot of boards and manufactuers don't do. This allows the use of a vid card with a bigger cooler without having to block off a precious PCI expansion slot which is a huge deal in a SFF setup. Board also comes with native Firewire, Onboard Geforce 6150 with DVI and VGA ports. Lastly, it has onboard high def sound which is very decent and features audio optical input and outputs and it features abit Silent OTES™ which is their version of a silent heatpipe cooling solution for the bridge chips and makes this setup a great silent running system.
I didn't think it would be a marked improvement over my previous board which was a Biostar TFORCE 6100 but it is and it is definitely noticeable! I think I'm sticking with this board until I absolutely have to upgrade (in order to take advantage of things like AMDs new Barcelona and Phenom CPUs if the original AM2 series boards aren't cutting it). Now on to your setup : Quote:
Good : C2D CPU, Abit Board ( ), 2GB DDR2 800 memory, eVGA vid card and a very nice OCZ PSU.Bad : Creative soundcard is about the only thing I can think of.... Other : Just an all around nice modern system that should keep you happy for quite awhile (at least until the Quad cores become more mainstream ) Overall, the only things that could of gotten you a better score, in my eyes, would of been a faster C2D, a quality sound system and possibly a bigger monitor (which accounted for the minus .25 point deduction each). Don't sweat it though, thats one nice setup you have there.

. oh and thanks for saying it's a good laptop...i like it..except for that damn x1400 (i bash my gfx alot, because c2d deserves better)@driver 9.15 (get that c2d above 3 ghz and you're up a little, but im running out of numbers for higher end computers, lol) oh and driver, have you tried rasising voltages on both the cpu and nb. and is your ram running in 1:1? and as far as the ram, if you get to the point where that is oc'ed to, you should try giving it more voltage and loosing timings, good luck. |
