Their low end cards are not going to be GDDR4.

Well I hope its really good GDDR3 then. It'll need high speeds to compete with the 8600GTS. Also the 2600XT has HDMI right?

You know ATi spent a lot of money making their cards able to run GDDR4. I wish they would just drop the GDDR3 and run GDDR4 on everything.

these Jetway cards are only meant for the generic buyers market, no doubt when one of the more prestigious card makers release there cards they would have enhanced their specification to match the expectations of the gamers that will no doubt purchase their cards over these ones.

I'm surprised to still see DDR2 on that list. Is that to keep the prices low? Weird...

not surprised by the gddr2 but the prices are nice. However, 512MB of GDDR4 at 128 bit is a little hard to swallow. They need to get rid of that and use 256 bit ::nods:

If they would make their mid-range cards with 256 bit memory then I could care less about GDDR4...

Not suprised at all with Jetway. Afterall, they were one of the few to manufacturer and sell a DDR2 based X1650XT and an X1950PRO with a 1/4 less memory bandwidth than most others.

180 Pounds = $360 USD.

It had better be good, or else the green camp is about to get another member... .

Seriously, $360 for a midrange card? What is AMD smoking?

Hookay, now that that's over with, 180 EUROS is roughly $260 USD.

Granted, it's much better than $360. However, who in their right mind would spend that much on a midrange card that's stomped by an 8800GTS (which costs about as much)?

More like $240, including tax... and things tend to be more expensive over here.

That can't be right, ATI has already stated that they are intending to put these (HD2600) in the $140-$160 price bracket, at least thats what I thought I read after doing some searching around on google...

The HD2600XT might, and I say again might be a good card but for $240ish a pop, it's going to be going up against a 8800GTS 320 in that price catagory! I'm sorry but I seriously think this card is going to compete against that! BTW, i'm specificaly refering to the north american market in my rant.

Even with the exchange rate, things sometimes cost more in the EU and UK. Higher standard of living, and all that.

I'm thinking the 2600XT 256MB should be a good card. Same core, as long as they don't underclock the RAM by much compared to the GDDR3 512MB version, then at stock, should produce some nice FPS and scores. And for 99Euros, isn't that around the pricing of an 8600GT, maybe a little less?
Hopefully it's a match for it.
Maybe AMD is holding out on us, and actually the 2600 series is a real power house (I wish)
