Changed my mind[again]

Yeah, I'm going to wait until a few more months until I get a Dx10 card, so I am going to grab a Dx9 card now. I was looking at something cheap, I don't need the best card out there, but something that can play Oblivion nicely would be great. I was thinking this case and PSU, and maybe a SATA HDD. Possibly this mobo and crossfire two 512mb x1650xt?

You would be better off with a single 1950pro.

It's only 256MB but that's more than enough with DX9.

Why spend the money on a card that you KNOW is going to have to be replaced in just a few months?

Why not just wait a little bit longer and save your money?

I think the reason the x1650s pwn in Oblivion is because all the individual things being rendered. I am still trying to decide what to get...

hey you could/should try 1950pro maybe a 1900gt rev1 if you could find one on ebay or something.. for my card to play fear totally maxxed I needed to oc it more than it is now and that was with a 17" lcd.. it played Oblivion maxed (not with sliders maxxed though) very well.

Are you in the USA? I'll concider selling my card I've been wanting to upgrade and may just grab a 8800gts for cheap.. I still have the original box/heatsink elc my max oc was 1.4vgpu 690core about 818ram but in a bios mod it seems to hold less oc than ati tool... so atm Im 1.35 (maybe 1.325) vgpu 654.5 core 780 ram.

I dont think if I go for 1.4vgpu that I will be able to play those games or COH maxed with my new monitor.. as I was hopeing to.

and I would sell my card for $100+ shipping.. its a rev.1 so it oc's good.
