Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Exclusive

Konami's Hideo Kojima told everyone at an E3 SONY press conference that the new Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be a PlayStation 3 Exclusive and so far there are no plans for its transfer to other Media.

Kajima also stated that this is the last game in the Metal Gear Solid series. However let's not forget that a while ago Kojima said the same thing when Metal Gear Solid 3 was announced...
Time will tell.

well if there was one game that could push Sales of the PS3 MGS4 certainly is that game but it is a real shame tha this will be an exclusive.

Just saw the latest E3 trailer, and it looks really good, seems like Raiden has become a badass after his girlie role in MGS2, it'll be cool to play with him and good old Snake.

MGS has never sold too well on other platforms, after the disappointment that was the release of MGS2 for the Xbox, Kojima-San mentioned that he would focus on releasing his magnum opus for one platform only, besides, it's good to see that Sony was able to keep one key exclusive for a change after bleeding exclusives left and right in the past few months.

no not at all, because Halo 3 is made from microsoft studios and bungie

vs metal gear solid is Konami ..

if that was the case they would've never sold MGS2 for xbox.

im going to assume they will relase it on xbox later on because 1 they said its fairly easy to use that engine with a 360 dev kit, and 2 judging by ps3 sales Konami might worry about game sales because of the lack of systems

I dont see this going to any other system at all. MGS2 was just a plan to sell more games. Its typical industry. However, after its failure, as was stated, Kojima stated on system to bind them all :

After watching UT3 and Crysis vids, everything on the PS3 look so last gen. I'm so buying this game tho. This is 1 out of 2 games that bought a PS3 for.

PS3 will not be able to push UT3 above 10 FPS @ 1080P (if they even do 1080p - they wont) unless they water down the graphics tremendously.
