Hello guys
I would like to buy Thermaltake's LanBox VF1000BWS for my younger brother. This one particular supports standard components (PSU etc.) and can utilize miniITX and micro ATX boards. ![]() They claim, that is possible to use an SLI or CrossFire configuration, as you can see on the pictures, but there is no list of compatible mATX boards available on their site. ![]() ![]() I was looking on websites of ASUS, MSI, BIOSTAR, DFI, GigaByte websites with no luck. While searching, I found this one from from EVGA which has nForce 4 SI chipset but unfortunately it supports only Socket 939 CPU's. Anyway, looks pretty cool, doesn't it? ![]() ![]() So back to the subject - the thing is, he'd be okay with any good IGP board (AMD 690G, Intel G965) with free PCIe ×16 slot, but it would be nice to have that option to utilize two stronger GPUs in future or simply just to have a better gaming board. If someone from you guys found a somewhere a mATX mobo for support for CrossFire (Intel's i975X, P965, P35, some i945Ps as well, ATI Xpress 3200, AMD 480X and 580X) or SLI (nForce SLI chipsets), please let me know. For now it doesn't matter if it would be an AMD AM2 or Intel LGA775 solution, we'll decide it later. I'm not saying I'll need it but still considering this option, if there will be one |

@xnox202, the first two links are matx boards, but no crossfire/sli. The third has crossfire, but is not a matx board.
@longo213, our local fry's sells that motherboard exclusively with a shuttle-esque case. I've read some reviews on it, and apparently it seems unstable and its overclocking option are very poor. I do think that that is the only board with more than one pcie x16 slot, though there are some with pcie x4 slots. |

Why not just get a Tforce mATX board such as the 7025/ 7050M2 with semi-decent gfx then get ONE 2900xt when they're affordable in the near future?

I second that. BTW, is there any difference between those two boards other than the name and onboard video chipset? I know with the 6100/6150 chipsets had different features (410 vs 430) and I'm wondering if it would be worth the extra cash for the 7050 over the 7025 if you would use the pcie x16 slot for graphics.

So far I'm decided to choose BIOSTAR's TA690G which has quite a lot OC options for an IGP mobo. However, if someone really seen somewhere a dual PCIe ×16 in mATX size (AM2 or LGA775), I would be glad for that info.

That board looks alright, only real difference seems to be an ATI chipset. Thankfully ALL the aforementioned TForce boards are available in the UK so no more TForce hunting like I did for this board!
