hey guys.

I have only just found this out...the new movie that will come round next month!!! It appears to be the 3rd part of the resident evil movie series!!! It looks pretty good.

What do you guys think of it?? will it be a hit or will it be average?

The first movie was pretty good.
The second one was ok (then again the Nemesis video game was one of the worst RE games).
Hopefully, they go back similar to the first one.

IMHO, most of the 3rd movies in a series suck.

Example

Spiderman 3
Matrix 3
Bourne Ultimatum

BUT

Xmen 3 was good
LOTR was good
Indiana johnes was good
Back to the furter was ok

SOO if they do it right, it could be good.

well looking at the new movie and the trailor it is in las vegas and appears to have little to do with the PS1+2 games. It does look great but as you say, most part 3 are not so good....jeeezzz...Spiderman 3 was tragic! Matrix 3 I thought was fine!

spiderman 3 was reallybad - they should have left venom for another time. as for extinction - looks ok but then has the trailer got all the good bits in it?

Well if you look at who is suppose to be in Spiderman 4, the leading canadite is Carnage.
Which you need Venom for.
I dunno how much more they can fuck it up lol

You should checkout the new movies trailer thread in the general nonsense section, you would have heard about the Resi 3 movie sooner

I just hope its not a let down like the other 2

But TBH, I think I hate them because NONE of them are remotely related to the video games

When I was a young fella playing those wonderful games and then to hear of a movie coming out..I thought it would be ALL about the games.....why the heck not??? we all knew what resident Evil is about and then the movie turns a different direction....I still liked them both but it should be based on the games.
At least they have a good looking lass as the main character

Well at least they FINALLY got some RE names in, like Claire Redfield and Albert Wesker.

BTW, the first RE move SUCKED, second was better, MAYBE they will get it right the third time.

I doubt it, the only thing that could save this series of movies is for Sony/CapCom to give someone like George A. Romero full control of the Resident Evil movie franchise and 'reboot' it, so to speak (like Batman Begins has redone the Batman format)

If Romero was allowed to do the Resident Evil movie in the first place, we would have had a zombie filled gore fest and I bet it would have been set in or around the mansion (like it should have been)

Yea I agree!!! But maybe the compound is to small to have it in a mansion??? The RE for PS1 was great!! but when it came down to a realistic state..it was not...a mansion FULL of zombies...I doubt it!

id like to see a city full of zombies and having the army come in to put an end to it! Bit like the RE2 intro..that was a brilliant game intro!!!
