xbox 360 warranty

hey guys, trying to scoop up a cheap xbox 360 since gta 4 is coming out soon. my question is, if i bought a used broken unit on ebay (3 red flashing lights), and the seal was still intact, could i RMA it with microsoft?

lol ^^ not sure about 3 red lights but as of recent times a full red ring of death is covered and gets fixed but i wouldnt touch a broken one off ebay with a bargepole tbh. i suggest you hold out till the new models start rolling out with which they should fix the overheating problems

If you can lay your hands on a '3 red light' dead 360, you will be able to return it to MS for repair, free of charge

I purchased one off my m8 for £100 (premium with loads of gear), it had 3 red lights, it had previously been flashed also.....and MS fixed it with no questions asked

Im guessing that the reason the 360 is on Ebay and broken is that it couldn't get repaired, sometimes it might be cheaper to get a 360 repaired rather than buy a new one but this is your first i am correct? The new Premium batches have HDMI so i would get a premium with the HDMI logo on the back they have beefed up cooling also? Either that or wait for the even newer ones with 65nm cpu to come out because GTA 4 is delayed.
