Don't worry, you have had them on this long, a little extra time won't hurt. I still have a long ways to go before my braces come off, luckily I am an adult so I don't need my parent to be there to get them of.

You should just leave them in...you'll forget to wear your retainer and your teeth will eventually end up all screwed up anyway j/k

retainers suck (not that I've ever had one my teeth are perfect)

What exactly is the point of braces? I never understood it. My teeth are straight, not movie star straight, but they certainly get the job done.

Meh, wore a retainer before I had my braces on, I'll remember to put them in... and last time, they tasted like bacon Though that might have been because some bacon got stuck there...

What's being English got to do with it? My teeth are good, I'm 13 and the only one in my school who hasn't had a single filling

Lol, nice one Tungsten. Man, I am 21 and I have been to the dentist once and it was only because my wisdom tooth was coming in and got infected. I was gonna get it pulled too, until I found out that my roots are abnormally long and go INTO my sinus cavity .

Actually it has a lot to do with it. I have straight(ish) teeth, never had any problems. Dentist goes "ok, we're going to put braces on your teeth to get them perfect, they aren't quite".

I asked if I would have any problems without them, he said no but we all need perfect teeth.

I changed surgeries....and told my new dentist I am NEVER having braces.
