Lol.. your making an assumption about a new set of drivers based on how an older set of drivers did?

thats a wee bit daft, try them then make the decision, dont just jump to conclusions

Lets not forget the performance improvements sited in every release note. If you added them all up from day one I wonder what kind of results would be seen.

Also, you can download the drivers from the new gaming site.

I haven't got the display driver to work, only the updated CCC. I had to install the 7.7's.

Sorry if that was slightly misleading.

Strange how STALKER never seems to be on the list for perf boosts in games.. if theres one game that needs it, its STALKER.

I was thinking, as I was BSODing just as I approached my log on screen - it would state the problem was with the ati2dvag.dll file I'm going to install them again, but replace that with the one from the 7.7's - just to see what the outcome will be. I doubt it'll get me anywhere and it'll probably report every .dll file in the 7.9's. Still, worth a short?

Lets all go boycott ATi to work on perf increases in STALKER driver optimisations can go a long way. Besides, clean coding never hurt anyone.

Anyone notice that if you go to DL drivers for an X1950 series for Vista their not listed on the ATi site? only X1900 series I also tried to find a link to fill in the driver bug report thing, seems like its been removed when you click on "contact graphics support"..
