I haven't, but I'm willing to give it a shot in the mouth.

UPDATE: They work well, none of the problems I've had with the 7.8's and 7.9's... w00t!

It works flawlessly for me - however I dislike ET: Quake Wars - really disappointed with it. Drivers work well with it though, about the same as he 7.7's.

Also, does anyone know of where to get a vista version yet?

Thanks.

EH? 7.7 works with ET: Quake Wars? Gotta give it a try then right now. What about the disappointment?

Yeah it is the same driver, you can tell from the driver packaging number - in this case it's 8.42 when the 7.9's were 8.41. I thought ATi labelled the drivers depending on the month they're released, for example, the 7.10's will be out in October and last months, the 7.9's were out in September, the 9th month.

As for the Vista beta, don't think it's been leaked as of yet.

I think it'll just be bug fixes and better compatibility with the new CCC software. Something like that. Either way, these drivers work and I look forward to the final release.

The 7.7 worked flawlessly for me in ET: QW. The disappointment is with the game itself, can't stand the weapons, the fact they've tried to cram as much crap into the engineer class as possible. Most of all I dislike the gameplay, trying to accomplish things is difficult due to the way they've set the controls up. Playing it offline or online makes little difference to my enjoyment. Was looking forward to it, but it turns out I don't like it.

Simple!

Looks nice mind, just isn't anywhere near as fun as I was expecting it to be.

Do people actually read these days or just look at words?

Can't say I've directly compared so I can't really comment. However, they work flawlessly in CS:S, they're about the same as the 7.7's. Don't forget these are the beta release. I have however seen a massive decline in performance in Battlefield 2, which I'm investigating today as I didn't play for very long yesterday.

I don't think they're worth using over the 7.6's or 7.7's just yet, but at least they're a step in the right direction.

The Release Candidate 4 7.10's has been leaked now. The original beta was RC3 - going to see if these improve upon the issue I get with Battlefield 2.
