Sony and BBC Team for Gran Turismo Content

Sony, Polyphony Digital and the BBC are teaming up to provide multiple Top Gear content in forthcoming PlayStation 3 title Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Users will be able to download episodes of TV show Top Gear through Gran Turismo TV, with a total of 40 episodes available over the PlayStation Network. Additionally, the Top Gear Test Track – where show host Jeremy Clarkson and team test drive the latest cars – will be replicated in Gran Turismo 5.
Quote:
BBC Top Gear is the world’s number one motoring media brand and we’re thrilled to make it accessible to Gran Turismo gamers
said Simon Danker, director of digital media at BBC Worldwide. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be released for the PlayStation 3 in 2008. The series has sold over 47 million units to date.

This is a kinda cool concept - esp. if the episodes are free. However, I honestly think Gran-Turismo type games are borring. If I want realistic driving, I will get in my car and drive. Arcade driving is my type of fun - Motorstorm/Burnout PWNS GT!

Bugger, this is fantastic news IF you own a PS3, I'd love to drive that circuit. However, I'm not about to blow £300 on a console to play one game, however good it is. Why can't they do a PC port! Bloody SONY.....

Word of warning is that it is a "limited" demo. Its gonna expire on Nov 11th (not to sure if you can still play it after that, or its just the dl link is gonna go away).

Download? Where to? Fill up the WHOLE HDD with the episodes? Would take a very long time to download. Is there a torrent application? Because if not, WHERE is all the download bandwidth going to come from?

And if torrent... ooohh, that would be a difficult precedent for the law courts. LOL
