Playstation 3 or Xbox...which one and why?

Pretty much that sums it up.

I'm thinking of getting one and don't know squat about them. If you have an opinion I'd love to hear it but please no "PS3 Sucks! Go Xbox!" or vice versa type comments. If you prefer one over the other I'd love to hear valid reasons why or why not. Not just that the other system is for dorks.

Thanks...

Well, I like the 360 for a few reasons. More games, better games, and it's FINALLY getting the bugs sorted out. Plus it's cheaper than the PS3 and has a better online community.

The PS3 has Blu Ray, arguably better graphics.

both of their pros and cons, personally i would go for the ps3 just cause its future proofed. its got bluray discs which will allow bigger games with better graphics to be produced, and it can play blu ray discs in beautiful HD at great resolutions via hdmi, and also its got a lot of folding power and you can run linux on it. plus on games like oblivion, the ps3 performs a lot better cause of the additional processing power,etc.etc. im not a heavy gamer so the ps3 would be better for me

i agree with you except price. The 360 has no built in wireless, nor HiDef optical drive. That alone is about $250-300 bucks.

alright, i corrected my post.

so its the xbox elite (for the elite can do proper hdmi) + wireless adapter + HD-DVD = 450 + 100 + 180 = $730!!!

$730 x360 vs. $500 Ps3

PS3. If you get the 60GB version, it will play PS2/PS1 games. Blu-ray is futureproof. You can do F@H on the PS3.

I am sorry, but why the hell would F@H be a perk to the PS3? No way would I put something that expensive on something like F@H, hell if you want to do it bad enough, just fold with a PC.

For gaming, 360.

For having a nice piece of hardware with no good games, PS3.

F@H is a great cause. It's more of a bonus.

I'd go for a ps3, as more of the xbox 360's games get released on pc anyway, where ps3 gets the cool japanese games (though i was surprised to see ace combat 6 is a 360 game) plus GT5 would sway it for me

F@H is BS IMO. No way am I going to stress my hardware and jack up my power bill for free. If there was a tax right off or something that went with it, maybe, otherwise they can kiss me arse.

You can stress hardware indefinately, hardware is designed to be used, after all.
However--good point on the electricity bill. But I live in an apartment (electricity included in rent--solid $625 every month no matter what you do). So I'm good to go.

Personally I like the 360. For my racing games, the triggers come in handy when you want a little brake or gas compared to pressing a button. I think the PS3 has pressure sensitive buttons not like the 360 tho.

I think the 360's overheating issue was resolved but not too sure.

Trust me on this one, go for a 360! The 360 has loads of great games (with that list expanding by the week!), awesome graphics and XBOX Live

I know the PS3 has Blu-Ray, but TBH, who gives a sh!t (LOL)

PS: if you buy a brand 360 it wont suffer from the dreaded "Red Ring Of Death"

PPS: this should be a poll really.

PS3. If you don't want to game on it, F@H. It's worth it.

JC316, you won't be saying F@H is a POS if it finds a cure for cancer. Say what you want about it, but I support it.

Thats not exactly true m8

Most games are made 'multi-platform' now (ie 360, PS3 & PC)
