Mushkin to Enter Graphics Card Market
Memory and PSU manufacturer Mushkin Enhanced is reported to start offering video cards early next year. On January 10th, Mushkin is planning to release its first card, a GeForce 8800 GT that uses NVIDIA's reference design, but features higher clocks with the GPU set to be at 700MHz (stock speed: 600MHz). The card's bundle will include a flash drive with the required drivers, with no free games or software programs included.

I wish Mushkin turns out to be a neutral board-partner like Palit. We're sick of this polarisation in the industry.

I don't think Mushkin makes G-DRAM
most of their modules use banks from Micron, Nanya as well |

Hopefully they'll be a little more successful than OCZ in the graphics market...

Yeah OCZ was a flunk.
Hey don't we see a trend? Of mem-module makers getting first into PSU, then video-cards and then mice/keyboards, etc? OCZ makes an AWESOME 2000dpi laser mouse for $25...the only thing apart from modules I like. |

I would love to see flash drives become a trend as opposed to driver disks. Much handier, much faster. Bundle it with ROM Flashing software, and 1337-h@x your card!

1337 = Leet = Elite
h@x = Hacks = to Modify, usually illegally. w1k1p3d14 1s t3h pwn4g3!!!!11!!!11!! It's an online geek dialect. I use it to make fun of people that ACTUALLY use it.

Elite, Hacks (modify) in this context...are you getting to something like buying a lower variant, OC'ing it, unmasking concealed pipes and flashing it to make it a higher variant...is that what you're getting to?

The GPU vendor(s) will take its as$ if they did that. Instead the least they could do is a card with a liquid-block and the clock/mem/shader speeds pushed to the limits permissible, they must use the best memory in the market (ironic they don't make graphics banks themselves)
wtf does pwned mean? explain |

pwned
A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned." Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned." It basically means "to own" or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force. "Man, I rock at my job, but I still got a bad evaluation. I was pwned." OR "That team totally pwned us." source

Just a simple BIOS flash to higher clocks. I editided the BIOS with NiBiTor. 500/333(666) is stock, 680/433(866) is what it's running now.

I soft-modded a friend's 6800XT PCIe to 6800 Ultra using NiBiTor and NVFlash. Luckily his 6800 XT was based on a NV40 (8 masked PP, 2 VP) and not NV42 where NVidia laser-cut the unused pipes.

This should be cool. I hope they make awesome PCB colours :P
I think with the reputation Mushkin have they will have no trouble getting a slice of the market in graphics.

That is what everyone said when OCZ started making graphics cards. This sounds like another big swing and a miss by yet another unneeded entry in the graphics scene.

I didnt know OCZ Tried their hand at the video card market. Did they use Nvidia? Wonder what the deal was and why it didnt work. Someone link me to some pics and info about that time?
Also, I hope they do ATI HD 38XX cards as well.

I have it. OCZ Equalizer. It's actually 2400dpi. Best money I ever spent on a mouse. I debated getting a G5, but this is half the price, and performs at the same level. I recommend it to anyone.
