My Bugdet Build COMPLETED!!!
I finally, with the help of others, put together the rig I will be buying in january. With shipping it comes to $840 Usd or £422 GBP (This doesnt include any rebates and is the price of components today, It my be cheaper by the time of purchase!) I am excited about this build and hear many great things about its components, I just cant wait!! So tell me what you think, and any revisions that are clear that I should revise if you can find them
. The ebuyer purchases are components I want from the uk, due to shipping costs and other factors, the newegg purchases are clearly cheaper in the US and will save me alot of money ![]() So thanks goes to those who helped me with this build I'll put up a project log when i start getting components ![]() CPU Intel 2160 oem version £43 (Retail 2180 is £7 more though?) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135919 GFX Card Palit 8800GT!!! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Palit-Nvidia...8873799&sr=8-3 RAM Crucial Ballistix 2GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565 MOTHERBOARD GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128050 CASE Coolermaster CM690 Dominator Black Mid Tower Case http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131551 HARD DRIVE Western Digital WD3200AAKS 320GB SATAII 16MB Cache 7200 RPM http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124735 PSU Corsair VX 550W PSU http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132563 DVD DRIVE LiteOn LH-20A1S 20X SATA DVD±RW/DL Black Bare Drive http://www.ebuyer.com/product/127410 FLOPPY DRIVE Sony 3.5" Floppy Drive Black http://www.ebuyer.com/product/74629

I know. I just came back from Europe, Italy specifically, and everything is so damn expensive, its ridiculous, grats on the build though, lots like it will be lots of fun . Im waiting on my e2200 as well, hopefully the 11x multiplier will be as amazing as i hope.

looks like a nicely balanced setup.
A 512MB version of the HD3850 would have been nicer, but the 256MB is still good! Let us know how far you are able to push that E2200! |

Dam I bit the bullet, Im getting this 3870! $10 more than the 512mb 3850 so I think it was a no brainer!
Hopefully nobody mentions the 8800gt or i will be tempted but the budget is at its absolute limit which i am very happy with!sapphire 512mb 3870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102713 Is this the best 3870 for its price tag? EDIT: I wonder how much i can overclock with stock cooling on the e2200, I will only have stock cooling for the moment. is this cpu when overclocked or even stock going to bottleneck my gfx card?

If this is a budget build, spending the extra 40 dollars to get into the e4x00 range isn't worth it. The e2180 is a blast to fool with, so that e2200 will be even better! Nice build, and good luck with it!
Edit: Oh, and think about grabbing something other than the Ballistix. I would say G.Skill, but others will say Patriot or Super Talent or whatnot. The only beef I have with the Crucial is that they have a high voltage set from the get-go, so if you plan on overclocking you won't have as much thermal head room. |

Keakar, jesus! thanks for that which is awesome
A whole rig right there. One of my concerns is that i will get taxed when they send those components, thats why i was getting a relative to as they could rite like family dvds or boxers on the form.what is that 8800gt like with hd? Ill be using a hd tv with this build. Is that 8800gt cooling ok? how comes the others have covers and it is bare? where do i find shipping costs on site lol

the relatives mailing it could work but if customs catches it (good chance they will if the size and weight dont match the package description) plus they scan for metal (a motherbord or video card could be a bomb if you think about it) and they also do random exrays on packages too. if found they WILL seize it as in you lose it plus they may fine you for customs and tax fraud. in my opinion its not worth it to save a few dollars but its up to you.
