Should I?
Should i:
1-Sell my 8800GTS 640 for €200 then buy a EVGA 8800 GT 512 for €240.  2-Sell the 8800GTS and buy a HD3750 512 for €200 and wait for the new Nvida cards to come out.  3-Keep the 8800GTS 640 until the new Nvidia cards come out and then sell it.  4-Your choice?

I would wait to attain more information from the HD 3870 X2, I do belive they are going to be comeing out soon....

Among the choices you list I'd take #1.
Wait and see is also a good choice. We should have at least a preliminary idea of what the Geforce 9 series should be like within the next six weeks or so. Just bear in mind that used hardware depreciates faster than off-the-shelf hardware. A lot faster. |

Yeah i know but those dual gpu cards don't attract me so much.
The HD3750 was more a thought to get a newer card that would sell for €175 in a month or two. And because of the 8800 GT coming up strong, i really have to sell this one. The bid that i got for my 8800GTS was €200. I don't think it's going to be much higher then that. The 8800 GT looks like great card but does anyone know how the cooler performs? Don't really like single slot coolers either because of the noise. They do score way higher then my card. Is it worth the extra cash or not?

My best friend has an 8800GT and having seen it I can assure you that it's a winner. I can't speak to its overclocking potential but at this point in time it is the card which would be an upgrade for you that occupies the sweet spot in price/performance in the enthusiast segment. It's also relatively light on power requirements. There's not anything to dislike about it.

I say run your 640mb card @ 700/1000/1600 untill some new cards come out.

To be honest i would loose performance. But that card would be worth €175 in a few months and my 8800 GTS won't be.

I's wait. I'm waiting to see what the R700 comes out as if you going to get a real boost it's going take longer to get your moneys worth but i guess that depends on how much cash you have to keep spending on new v cards lol.
