Yeah, I'm with you on that one Morgoth, I don't see the point in a 256MB version. Saying that, yeah it'll be cheaper, but if you plan on playing some sort of DX10 (at some point) then you'll need at least 512MB.

There was no 512MB version of the 1950XT available for AGP, only the 1950Pro came with 512MB of RAM, that's what I never bought it...

Back to topic, has anyone actually seen one of these cards in the US?

I know my friend is looking for one too. Hes got a 939 X2 opty at 2.7ghz with a X1950PRO so I think the card wont be bottlenecked. I know im helping him watch for one so if anyone sees one PM me!

Well, here in Aus there are 9 stores I know of that currently stock the HD3850 AGP (One is a 20 minute drive away ).

Another has had it for a week or two now..

Shame my old AGP comp blew up.

yea laugh all you want! i shecked some benches with same sittings as mine with x1950pro realy high clocked core 680 ram around 800mhz the got 4980 i got 4044 on my settings so i could reach 5k with hd3850
